Not the fanciest of Best Western properties but functional and close to Camp Liberty.
Rooms: Basic BW room.

DO. NOT. STAY. HERE. Second night of our journey to FL. Booked this value hotel, not expecting much, but wow was it bad. The room had an awful musty smell, even sprayed some perfume we have and it did nothing. All of the sheets had a damp wet feel to them. It was like staying in old hunting cabin, minus the actual benefit of being in nature. The bed was awful, like it was 50 years old, I've literally slept on a better air mattress. See below for the drainage situation in the room. Why, may you ask, we didn't ask to be switched rooms. Any one with two young ones can tell you that by the time you're unpacked and settled late at night after a long day on the road the thought of moving everything to another possibly bad room is daunting. So we stay. Come breakfast another lackluster performance from this place. It felt like at one time, possibly under different ownership, it had the setup and tools to be a wow factor, but all that remains is a carcass of its former self. The kids did love the Nespresso Machine, I will give them that. Now you may be wondering, hey it's a cheap motel, what do you expect? See my review in Ohio from the previous night. Less money and a very fair 5 star review for a budget motel. I'm not sure if any of the other budget motels in the area are good either, but I encourage you to try elsewhere.

So we were on our way home from the beach in Florida and were only a few hours from home but we were tired and were taking a short break for our last leg of the journey. We saw the Best Western and there were numerous other options at the Cullman exit. A few of them we were honors members but the rates were not very travel friendly. We decided we would stop in the front desk and just inquire on the rate. There I met Anthony. Such a wonderful and friendly young man. I know he didn’t set the rates but they were so reasonable that we decided to stay. He explained everything we needed to know for our stay and also said they had fresh coffee immediately if I wanted some since I missed my morning coffee. He was not your normal desk clear he never let a smile off his face. To me he was the definition of everyone you would want to be your employee. So we entered the room and the first thing I smelled was clean!! I was worried because it was not as costly as others in the area. As I looked over the room it was spotless. I highly recommend this place to stay and you should hope Anthony will check you in. If so it will be a wonderful experience!!!!!

Rooms are remodeled, clean and comphy beds.It was actually really nice. Pet friendly but, no smell or dirtiness of other hotels that accept them. Even a pet station across the parking lot. Would say again!

Stayed May 4. Disgusting room for the price. Mattress was terrible. Sink drained very slowly. King bed with three little pillows. Room amenities were very sparse. Would never go back.
Rooms: Not good.

I will edit to clarify that we left to go find alternate accommodations and dinner before we returned. I will happily share my statements for appropriate accommodations in exchange for refunding since you rented the property I paid and didn’t receive services for.
Booked through third party booking and when we checked in, room smelled horribly of cigarette smoke, moldy chair in room, dirty bathroom, and gnats in the window, as well as debris on bed appearing unclean. Took keys up front and told front desk and she didn’t seem surprised and said “so you aren’t staying?”… nope. This place is dated, but dated doesn’t have to mean dirty. It was gross. Now third party booking says management denies being disgusting and property refuses refund for services that were too gross to render. We had to scramble to get a decent hotel across the street with our young children. More angry at the refusal for refund. Never again with third party booking and suggest looking across the street for a suitable place to stay the night.

Based our stay on reviews. Staff at check-in, he was great. Room was upgrated, pet friendly. The outside had LED lighting, which made me feel secure.

Service was fine- no issues there. Expensive- $130/for a Friday night. Insanity. For that price, I should have spent an extra 20$ for a Wyndham or hilton. Absolutely not worth the amount of money it cost. The best was lopsided because it didn't fit on frame. The towels and bedsheets are so rough and very cheap, you can tell. The water pressure in insane, I had a better shower at camp sites. For the price- not worth it. If it was 80$ maybe yes, because you get what you paid for. Def isn't worth 130 imo.
