Mae's is one of my favorite lunch and bar spots in Cullman. Southern Eats has healthy options (I.e. chicken salad salads, light sandwiches); but, when I'm feeling like I want heavier I go to I love bacon for a Carrie Underwood wrap or Links for a yummy hamburger. Ruckus bar has the best cocktails and bartenders in town. It's a Cullman must see.

Met my son here for lunch since it is about halfway between Huntsville & Birmingham. The whole place had a nice vibe and decor. We all decided on the I Love Bacon vendor because who doesn't (other than my newly vegetarian daughter that wasn't along for the ride) My son and I both went with the Grilled Cheese with Bacon, Mac & Cheese on Fresh Sourdough with Tots/French Fries. My wife decided to try the Mac & Cheese - Penne Pasta, Bacon, Queso and Jalapeí±os upon recommendation from our son who had tried it at the Mac & Cheese Festival last year. Other than being a little messy to eat and needing extra napkins I thought it was excellent and would eat again. The Bread & Butter style pickles that came with it were good but I prefer Dill. Only disappointment was the Big Spoon Creamery I saw on the website was non-existent (being replaced or remodeled) and I was really looking forward to having some since it had warmed up just enough. (Please keep website updated) We will likely return and hope try some of the other stalls in the future.

This place has a great atmosphere and a good bar but that's about it. My first stop was the Mexican place icantina. I ordered the "trucker fries" and they were horrible. There was way too much garlic on the fries, and the chicken had the consistency of jello. I had 3 other people from my group of friends try it and they all spit it out in disgust. It promptly ended up in the trash where it belonged. The food was also overpriced, it costs me $15 for the fries with a side of chips and salsa. My next stop was I love bacon, as I was starving and was trying to cut my losses. I had their grill cheese with bacon and fries special, but the bacon seemed like it was the cheap pre cooked stuff you get at the grocery store that someone warmed up that morning. Overall I wasn't impressed and I blew $25 to go home hungry and upset. Overall I will not be coming back and will be recommending to everyone else to stay away.

Here for 2nd Friday's hanging with friends drinking a beer. Bar staff very friendly great service. About 4 we decide on Pizza. Staff says not open until 5, place was packed so about 10 till they let us order, people standing in line after us to order. At 5:30 our ringers go off, we go get them, not what we ordered. So the cook with a very smart attitude says well here's yours the other one will be ready in 20 minutes. Very unorganized staff to say the least. Pizza was mediocre. My pizza had 3-4 very thin slices of lunch meat ham and at the most 2 tablespoons of mushrooms sliced very thin, no cheese, I was very disappointed in the service and food.
