There are always 2 sides to every story. Meighan has always taken care of me and my whole family. This company as well. They are incredible. Could someone have made a mistake? Sure! I will guarantee you that if it were their fault, they are working to make it right. I have never been mistreated. My claim was taken care of with no problem. You also have to read your paperwork and check for mistakes because noone is perfect. How long did it take you to realize the coverage wasn't on there? If you had read your documents, you might have caught the mistake and it could have been corrected before anything happened. When was the last time you messed up? Take it easy. These are human beings.

Financed a car at used car lot and called WHILE AT THE CAR LOT to have FULL COVERAGE insurance added to the NEW CAR as I also had a liability policy on a paid for car with Direct Auto and I spoke with Meagan over the phone to handle this simple transaction in May of 2025. I was told I was good to go and the conversation was on speaker phone. Two other people besides myself heard this conversation, one being the lady handling the sales contract of the financed car. I drove the car on home thinking everything was in order. Once home, I called and had my paid for car removed from the policy as it has transmission issues and can't be driven anymore. So, on July 28, 2025, my Mother had an accident in the financed car and that's when I found out that Meagan DID NOT PUT FULL COVERAGE INSURANCE ON MY FINANCED CAR like she was supposed to and now its been going on three weeks of me playing chase, trying to get this company to correct something that should have been done from day one and that is to back date my policy to show full coverage and fix this car. Moral of this story... People, check your policies with this company and make sure you have comp and collision on your policies BEFORE you actually need it. They have something on there called Total Protection Plan that is deceptively worded. THAT'S NOT the same as COMP AND COLLISION. I've since been told by the body shop and the car lot that Direct Auto Insurance is one of the worst insurance companies out there. Yeah, the rates are cheap, but if you have to file a claim, you are gonna wish you had paid a little more and you are going to get the run around like I'm getting right now. Nobody wants to help me in this company. I'm getting told that it's this departments job, or that departments job, or call this number, or speak that person. It's ridiculous and they keep doing it in hopes of frustrating you to the point that you give up and go away.
