I do business with the local general stores in my community. Just a few moments ago i was hailed by the cashier who said i beeped when i went outside. I stopped to get soft dog food but there wasnt the first can of dog food on the shelf...most of the other isle looked barren as well...I beleive the girl who worked the cash register wanted to accuse me of not being totally honest and thats just insulting customers at Christmas Time ...DG needs to fix their rickety electrical problems.

Really wish they would get new management. My family shops at this store at least twice a week as it is less than a mile from our house. You can guarantee you will stand in check out line for a minimum of 10 minutes. They also never restock their shelves. They open the boxes and leave them on the floor in front of the shelf where the item is supposed to be so its like an egg hunt finding what you need. This was never a problem before they got their new manager.

I give 5 stars to the people only working in the Good Hope, Al & Dodge city, Al stores. If we could give separate company ratings and negative ratings the company would get the largest negative Google maps offered. Aside from that the people are always friendly despite being short staffed, working double shifts or not having off days for months at a time. People get discouraged when they are left at register & the line stretches down the isle to the back wall. Customers get angry & take it out on you & it your new, added bonus never ran a register or never ran one like theirs, even worse. If you page & page for help but it does not come until the line is gone, that cashier will not be back after her break or lunch whichever comes first. No one wants to be thrown in the deep end of the swimming pool when they can not swim!! POINT IS DOLLAR GENERAL DOES NOT CARE!!!

This dollar general has SO MANY issues. Not only do they NEVER keep the shelves stocked but it’s messy and the employees are SO RUDE. I was standing in line waiting to check out and the two cashiers were so busy running their mouth that i purposely grabbed a lighter from the counter and put it in my pocket to see if they would even notice or stop talking to each other...of course, they didn’t see me or stop talking until I rudely asked when i was going to get to be checked out. Something needs to be done about keeping the shelves stocked and the employees doing their jobs.
