If you like not being able to sleep, stay here. The stairway doors hydraulic system is broken, so they slam very loud all night. All the doors in this hotel slam very loudly, keeping you up all night. The staff was very nice and said they have asked the management to fix it but they won't. I tried to get a refund for my ruined vacation that was mentally traumatic since I couldn't sleep or kept getting woken up, but there was no response from him. The customer support number said he denied my request.

If you like to stay in an outdated, smelly hotel then this is the place for you. The bathroom was disgusting with mold in the corner of the tub & the tub was peeling from a spray glaze. My advice is stay away from this location. This is the worst Holiday Express I have ever stayed in. I don't know how anyone can give this place any more than a 2 rating. This hotel isn't up to the IHG standards. What a big disappointment. Needless to say i will not be back.

This was my third stay at this hotel, and up until now, I’ve had a pretty positive experience. This time, I was driving down from Maryland to pick up my son from Camp Liberty. After 10 hours on the road, I figured I had enough energy to power through the last two hours and get to the hotel a day early. We had already booked two nights starting Friday, but my wife called from the passenger seat to see if we could add Thursday night. The person on the phone said it wouldn’t be a problem—they had availability, and we’d be all set.
When we arrived, the gentleman at the front desk was extremely friendly and got us checked in quickly. We went to our room and settled in. That night there was some random chirping noise in the room—not worth complaining about, just slightly annoying—but otherwise no big deal. We went about our business the next morning.
Then at around 11 AM on Friday, I got a call from the front desk asking if I had intentionally left items in my room. I said yes, of course—I’m not checking out until tomorrow. Her response: “No, your reservation ends today.”
Now, I don’t argue just to argue. I told her to hold on while I pulled up my confirmation email. Sure enough, it clearly stated that I was booked through Saturday. She then told me I was only booked for two nights, and I said, “Exactly—I booked Friday and Saturday and added Thursday night over the phone.” That’s when things went downhill.
Rather than acknowledging there may have been an issue with how the reservation was entered into their system, she doubled down and started arguing with me, saying I was responsible for making sure my reservation was correct. I’m sorry—how exactly am I supposed to verify a reservation I modified by phone, which was confirmed verbally and handled by your staff before I even got there?
I explained everything: we called, confirmed availability, got checked in, and went to bed—all with zero indication that there was a problem. But instead of saying something like, “I see where the breakdown happened, let’s get this fixed,” she chose to blame me. To top it off, she said my stuff needed to be removed so the room could be cleaned—despite the fact that the hotel clearly wasn’t at full capacity. So even if this had been a mix-up, it wasn’t like I was blocking another guest from getting a room.
Thankfully, the manager handled the situation professionally, listened to my side, and made it right. He’s the only reason this review isn’t a one-star takedown. Because of him, I’ll give it three stars—but only barely.
Bottom line: the front desk employee I dealt with on Friday morning took what could’ve been a minor systems issue and turned it into a frustrating experience by arguing with a customer instead of just fixing the mistake. I really hope this hotel uses this as a training opportunity, because one person can absolutely ruin what should have been a great stay.

Probably the best Holiday Inn Express we have stayed at. Friendly staff, and their breakfast was FRESH, plenty to choose from, and the kitchen staff was very attentive to your needs. Easy on/off the interstate. Clean room!!

The room was really large and clean. The breakfast was pretty good, they need to put out more food, they don't like to replace items that as they get emptied, i.e. cinnamon rolls.

We've stayed here multiple times and have never been disappointed. Yes, the rooms, especially the bathrooms, could use a refresh but this place is consistently solid each time.

A bit hard to find but worth the effort. Pleasant, helpful staff. Comfortable bed. High beds are challenging for short people.
