It's a lovely place, one of the best in Cullman. The entry from the road is a little strange, look right before you go left. Ask for an odd numbered room, on the top floor. You will hear anyone above you. But nice facilities, gym is decent with weights and a Peloton bicycle. Laundry is $2.50 each but does take CC's. Nice kitchenette with big fridge, microwave, sink. No built in stove, but you can borrow at front desk.

We are traveling with an RV and motorcycles on a trailer. We walked in and requested (Barbara) at the front desk that we wanted a 1st floor room that looked over the parking lot -to keep an eye on our bikes (we are traveling and we dont know the area or safety of the lot) she said she had 1 room on the 1st floor - I asked if it overlooked parking lot and she said she didnt know - it was an odd room number. So I had to interrupt my check in process and walk down the hallway to go look to see which rooms over looked the parking lot. After seeing resort layout I now had to go back to front desk wait for my place in line and start the check in process over again. When my turn in line came up - I asked if she had a 1st floor even room - answer was NO. I asked if she had a room on a higher floor overlooking the parking lot. At this point - I must have asked too many questions - she told me that SHE HAD THE RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE TO ANYONE . I was quite surprised - I told her that I was surprised a Hilton resort would require a guest to go verify room location - I again explained that I wanted a room that overlooked the parking lot..(this isnt a scenic resort by the ocean - a parking lot view did not seem like an unreasonable request to me) she handed me my ID and again stated that SHE HAD THE RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE TO ANYONE. She stated her name was Barbara and gave me the managers name as I was walking away. This would have been the 5th time we would have stayed at a Home2 in 2025. We drive to Florida - and usually stop for 1 night along the way. We were happy we found this new chain until today. We travel with our dog - so luckily there was a LaQuinta a few blocks away. Come On Hilton - Your front desk in Cullman Alabama needs training......The manager responded on another review that the situation must have escalated but that is not true - I was so shocked when my drivers license was handed back to me - I laughed and walked away. BTW - I am the owner of a vacation rental company - so I know a teeny tiny bit about hospitality. Enough to know that my request was a reasonable request.

Very comfortable and quiet. Large room with plenty of seating. I loved the large fridge that was actually cold.

Unfortunately we did not have the same experience as some. The hotel room was not clean. I spilled a little bit of water on the floor and when I wiped it up, the paper towel came out black and dirty. Don't walk in bare feet, it's dirty! And the water pressure was practically non-existent.
But the worst experience was the desk clerk Emily. We had a 3 day non-refundable stay. After the first night I couldn't sleep on the bed, it was the most horrible and cheap mattress. My hip and back went out on me and I was in horrible pain. So I went down the next morning to ask if we could check out the next day without charge, and that I would try to sleep on the couch that night. I figured it was too late to get refunded for that day. So I asked Emily if we would be charged if we left the next day. I tried everything to find out about charges and what we could do. She offered another room, but I knew that the beds are the same in all the rooms, so I said I'd prefer to leave. She said, absolutely, no problem. So right in front of me she went in the computer and said I was all set, no issues and we could check out the next day with no charges for that day.
When we went to check out she charged me for 3 days, not 2. I asked why and she said it was non-refundable. I said that I came down the previous day to make sure there would be no charge, before I booked another hotel. Since she agreed to that I did later book another room. She just looked at me with a blank face and kept repeating a standard memorized line that it was non-refundable. I said I understood that and that's why I came the day before to see if that could be waived. She then looked at me like a robot, staring into space and kept repeating her standard memorized line. I asked her to call the manager and she said she would and came back with her standard memorized line.
The reason I came the day before was to check if anything could be done, if it couldn't we would have stayed and not booked another place, we understood the policy. But she said she would cancel the last day for me with no charge. I don't think places of business should outright LIE to their customers. And if she messed up, she should have admitted that. She was rude and not a very nice person. She also lied and said that if I called corporate the next day, that they could call the manager and he would take off the charge, but when I called corporate, they said he absolutely said he would not reverse the charge. Lying to customers is NOT acceptable.
Anyway, this was my experience. I would NEVER recommend staying at this hotel.

I stayed here overnight , so clean and nice. Great breakfast .
We stayed in a handicap room with my 85 YO Mother. My only issue is we were in room 100 all the way to back entrance on 1st floor, so I would suggest they let you know that as check in or when reservation is made, it a long walk for someone using walker and has issues with walking and balance. The shower is also a super nice , no tub - has shower chair and adjustable shower head.
Let someone check in and drive to back entrance to get your senior in.
I live in Cullman and will recommend to family and business I know.

This is a great place to stay. It’s a new facility so no wear or tear noted. Marj (I hope I’m spelling correctly) was a pleasure to talk to. The rooms are spacious and clean. Location is great. Easy to get on the interstate and plenty of options near to grab food. Breakfast was good for a hotel. We would definitely stay again if we were in the area.

Really loved this hotel! The breakfast was great and the rooms were probably the cleanest hotel rooms I've stayed in. Super grateful!
I was a little upset with the pool. I know it's a saltwater pool, but it still should be clear. It seemed to be dirty and hazy so we didn't go in, even though my girls would have loved to!
