We took our jeep to be fixed. He ripped us off.
His wife called my husband and said it would cost $1003.
When it was ready, we went there to pick it up and he charged over $1400.
$400 for the starter when it does not cost even $200 and over $800 dollars for labor.
The A/C was working fine when we took to him. When we drove it back, the A/C was not working anymore.
We took it back to him and this Monday he tried to convince us that something else is wrong .
He messed up the A/C and is not taking the responsibility for what he has done and refusing to fix it.
They are just trying to rip us off again.
I told him I am filling in Small Claims Court against him.
I am filing in Small Claims Curt and I am subpoenaing him personally.
DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO HIM.

New to the area and had a couple of coworkers speak highly about 64 auto. I needed to get my wife’s car tuned and had a problem with the front axle. I called and scheduled an appointment to bring the car in. They diagnosed the problem and called with the price to fix it. It took a couple of days to fix but they were up front with me about that and called me as soon as they got done. Honest and fair service is all I ask for and that’s what I got. I have 2 daughters that drive and my parent's just moved here so they will be OUR mechanic for anything that needs to be fixed on all 8 vehicles!!

My truck ran hot in Daphne. I called another shop that recommended them. They replace the hoses for my truck and I think a water pump. I had decided to take my truck to another shop to have the thermostat put on. They were suppose to put all my parts inside my truck (thermostat and other parts they took off. They do not put all my parts inside my truck. They did not return my heat shield for my truck. Now I have to go buy that piece.
Edit: I know exactly what was wrong with my truck I knew what was on my vehicle. I stand with what I said I have pictures of before an after my truck was touch by this shop. I said what I said.

I brought my car for an issue with overheating. Prior to doing so, I checked the usual suspects, and narrowed it down to a leak, but couldn’t quite find where the leak was coming from as I had no antifreeze on hand. After finding the closest mechanic to me, I dropped my car off only to get a call that next morning claiming I’d need a $1000 repair. The first red flag was the claim my cooling fan was out. I had checked this component first; ensuring it was getting enough power, and turning on as it should. When I let the mechanic know this, I was met with the comment “it’s making noise.” It’s a fan. Of course it is. I immediately called my usual mechanic in Gulf Shores, and the moment he heard how the conversation went, he begged me not to let this place touch my car. Long story short, he concluded they hadn’t even looked at my vehicle as the leaking component was obvious when adding antifreeze. I was quoted a more reasonable $400, and had it confirmed that nothing was wrong with my cooling fan or any of the other components that 64 claimed were out. I shelled out a BS $140 diagnostic fee to them when my car quite literally hadn’t even moved. Please tell me how I called at the end of the business day to ask if my car had been looked at yet, was told no, but you call me five minutes after opening the next day with a $1000 repair quote? There was no way they’d even touched my car as it was still parked in the same exact manner as I’d left it the previous morning. I’m considering a chargeback through my bank as I’m not fond of dishonest practices or being a charity to a dishonest business. They knew I wouldn’t give them $1000, but banked on getting a diagnostic fee. Do not take your vehicle here if it’s clear you’re new to the area or on a time constraint for your repair. They will try to take advantage of you.
