Stopped in at Great clips today, had Mrs. Kristen cut my hair and clean up my beard, as always she did a wonderful job , her and Bri always take great care of me when I need a cut. Don’t get me wrong, allot of great ladies there but they always go above and beyond for me. I’ll always be a great clips customer because of them. Thank you for the fantastic service.

I’ve been a customer at Great Clips since the very day they opened. I brought my 3 boys in on opening day, and despite receiving a few questionable haircuts over the years, I continued to return, giving different stylists a chance. Recently, we finally found a stylists we actually liked (she wasn’t there today), which made the experience more consistent.
During my last visit, one of the stylists mentioned that I could bring my boys in between haircuts for a complimentary cleanup—just a quick trim around the neck and ears to keep things tidy. She specifically said, “You can come in between and just get a cleanup, and we’ll do that for you at no charge. We just line up the back and around the ears.”
Today, I brought one of my sons in for a haircut. My other son had just gotten his haircut a couple of weeks ago, so I asked the stylist at the front, “Last time I was here, the lady told me y’all offer a free neck and ear cleanup between haircuts.” She confirmed that and took my son straight back.
When it came time to pay, I expected the total to be $20 plus tip for the haircut. Instead, I was told the charge was $28. I asked what the extra $8 was for, and she said it was for the neck trim. My son didn’t even need the cleanup, but I agreed to it because I was told it was a complimentary service. I explained the miscommunication—that I had been told it was free, and that I had clearly stated that when I walked in. She hadn’t mentioned any charge at the time.
The manager reluctantly instructed her to remove the $8 charge, but instead, she went ahead and charged my card the full amount. I even tipped generously, thinking the charge had been removed and I was tipping based on a $20 haircut. To make matters worse, they were rude about it, saying, “If we just went around doing that, we wouldn’t make any money.” The neck trim itself took less than a minute—literally. He was in the chair for under 60 seconds.
It’s worth noting that the stylist who did the neck trim wasn’t involved in the conversation at the register. That discussion was between the stylist who cut my other son’s hair, the manager, and me.
I also need to mention that the stylist who cut my son’s hair today was incredibly rude to him. I had already explained that he has sensory issues and that haircuts make him nervous and fidgety. She snapped at him and said, “Stop or I’m going to put a hole in your head.” Not only was her behavior unacceptable, but the haircut itself was the worst he’s ever had.
Between my four kids, we’ve been regular customers at that location for years. But after today, I won’t be going back. Paying $20 for a poor-quality kids’ haircut is already frustrating. I could’ve spent five minutes online and found a coupon to cut that price in half—meaning they would’ve made even less than if they had just honored the free neck trim.
Overall, the experience was completely unprofessional and rude.

The coupons never worked, Unable to find coupons for Alabama at all. Only expired and fake coupons are circulating on the internet.

i went there with my grandma she just got a trim but the worker Jamarcus did such a beautiful job and we even stayed a little bit to just chat and he is such a fun person to get to meet

I have been going to this Great Clips for a few years. Jamarcus always does a great job! He styles my hair for weddings and cuts mine and my kids hair. We always enjoy our time in the chair!

I've been going to this Great Clips for years, and have always been very pleased with the staff and the haircut and beard trim I receive. I visited yesterday and had Marcus as my stylist. He did a superb job, and I'm excited to have reliably good experiences! (especially after having my hair butchered before in the past by a different establishment)

Sharrell cuts my mom’s hair. She is so patient and kind with mom and takes the time to make sure Mom is completely satisfied with her haircut. We are so thankful for Sharrell!
