Audubon Bird Sanctuary is a beautiful, relaxing, and peaceful natural area on Dauphin Island. It features a vast array of birds to see and listen to, with an amazing abundance of species. The sanctuary offers multiple well-marked trail choices through a swamp, marsh, and pine forest, leading to a beach. Visitors can see bald eagles nesting, along with dozens of turtles. It is a great place for a walk or a swim with a dog, providing a nice leg stretch for travelers. While some visitors report not seeing many birds, the environment remains a must-see adventure and a worthwhile stop.
This was my first time going to the beach and this beach is beautiful! Great for first timers!

Didn't see many birds as expected, but the trail we took was well marked and you could imagine seeing lots of birds. Would have been better having a picture of birds likely to see and a description of them.
