The Best Western River City Hotel is undergoing renovations, which has caused some hallway carpet and construction mess, and some guests report their rooms were not in good shape. However, other guests received newly remodeled rooms on the third floor which were clean, comfortable, and well worth the money. The staff is frequently described as friendly, honest, and providing great customer service, with one desk manager offering a good late-night rate. Guest experiences with housekeeping are mixed; some report rooms were super clean, while others note that trash was not emptied, towels were not always replaced, and beds were not made daily. Some information in the rooms regarding breakfast buffet hours and pool times was incorrect. The hotel offers a peaceful stay with good air conditioning and comfortable bedding. Its location is convenient, with multiple food options next door or within a short drive, and it is near local attractions like Point Mallard Water Park and Cook's Museum.
Had zero issues with my room! Was worried about reviews with all hotels in the area. Safe to say this one was more we thought. We had newly remodeled rooms on the 3rd floor and was well worth the money. If you’re scared just ask to have rooms on the 3rd floor or ones that have been remodeled.

Their showers are horrendous... bathrooms are extremely cumbersome. Atleast it doesn't smell terrible.
