I was at Barnes & Noble and saw the current issue of an art magazine I used to buy, but thought I might be able to find it at Books-a-Million, since they sold that magazine at their former location. When I went to BAM's current location, a young woman working there told me that since the store has downsized, they don't sell magazines anymore. She did nicely suggest other stores.

I was killing time and thought I would stop in a couple of weeks ago. I used to go to the one on the other side of town and loved it. This store is way too small, and while it has an okay selection of books, there just simply isn’t enough variety for all forms of readers. There’s no where to sit either, and I suppose I understand that because they want to sell books, not have people sit around and loiter all day. One of the employees when I went made me extremely uncomfortable as well. I have never stolen anything in my life, but one of the employees kept walking over to where ever I was in the short time I was in there. It was probably around 10 times in 15 minutes.
I’m a very shy and nervous individual so it really bothered me because I have NEVER been followed around at any store by an employee. After awhile of that and making me (the only customer in the store, mind you) feel super unwelcome and uncomfortable. I made my purchases and left. The other employee was really nice and she’s the reason there are 2 stars.

Both employees were incredibly unhelpful. The green hair woman was incredibly rude and was very unhelpful. Both employees acted like they were better than me and above helping me. I would much rather go to Huntsville than go to this location again.

I was in there in a Sunday with my wife and 4 year old son. There were probably 10 other people in the store and it was 40 minutes before closing time and my son told me he had to go potty, so we went to the restroom and were met by an employee mopping the the floor blocking the door and he told me "Oh I just cleaned the bathroom" and didn't move. I asked him "does that mean he can't use it?" And the employee said "Sorry, it's the bathroom is closed now since I cleaned it" and smiled at me as my 4 year old is telling me he's about to poop his pants. The employee just shrugged at me...
Seriously? To say I was pissed is an understatement.
I told my wife to put the books back. I won't be back to this location. We were semi-regulars and I was going to spend at least $59!in there today. This was incredibly poor service and the employee's smugness was incredibly irritating.

A good book place for your needs. This is a smaller shop with a little less than some of the others I've been to, but still a nice shop.

We had a horrible experience at this store. The employees prevented our son from using the only restroom in the place and purposely mopped the floors in the restroom and hallway and refused to let us use the bathroom while shopping at the store. They only had to wait 5 minutes before mopping and he could have used the restroom but the employee was a total jerk and refused saying he had to mop right then. We put the items we had selected for purchase on the nearest surface and left. We do not recommend this store as it is not user friendly and they obviously do not vet their employees before hiring them.

It is not a bad bookstore. It is simply the smallest BAM I have ever visited. They do not carry any periodicals and the book selection is similarly reduced. It was clean and well lit with helpful staff.
