BAIT & SWITCH
I drove a log way to purchase a gun from Area 51. They ran an ad for AR's starting at $499.95. When I asked about their advertised special they said that price was using used parts and they didn't have enough used parts to build me a gun for that price. The cheapest price they quoted was over $700. This was not a recent visit but I ran across the ad in my desk and it reminded me I wanted to leave a review.

Worst store in the history of the U.S. I went in to have a part installed on a lower reciever, and instead the gunsmith clearly sabotaged my device; rendering it unusable. I went in to consult with them previously twice beforehand, asking if they could install the accessory that I wanted installed and was told both times that they could. When I went in for the service they destroyed my lower reciever and then refused to take fault for it. I asked them to remove the acsessory and restore my reciever to the condition it was when i brought it to them and they could not even remove the accessory they installed wrong. I took the part to five other stores and no one was able to fix their errors, when i confronted Area 51 on it they refused to take fault. They instead bad mouthed several of the other local shops that I took the reciever to in an effort to get the lower receiver restored to its original state. They then suggested that I buy a different, more expensive accessory and bring that to them to let them destroy, stating that the product I had was no good, even though I know that it was a quality product. Hey guys, I’m the guy that came in the other day and looked at the delta point pro but was really wanting the holosun optic but the guy said it wouldn’t mount directly to my m18 and said it was a whole different footprint…I’m not trying to be rude at all just wanted him to see this so he knows now…

Can’t recommend them enough. First gun store that I’ve been to that is actually fair when working out a trade in. Was able to work a fair deal for both parties and get my new gun ordered. Will be my first stop in Dothan from now on

So I would give zero stars if I could. I called them on a price and they say one thing on the phone. Get there to the store and ask to again to confirm and of course they change it. This place reminds me of a shady used car dealership. I will spend my money elsewhere.No I did not come in for no cheap red dot. I had called about putting sights on a glock slide. Was told 25$ if I bought from you or 45$ if not. I come to the store and you have changed to 65$. It isn't about the money it is about your word. Again place is like a used car dealership. Buyers beware all I am saying, I will spend elsewhere.

A few years ago, I gave Dan and his store nearly $2,300 to purchase a Gemtech suppressed upper. He tried to get me to take a sub-par upper instead, but I said no thanks, I wanted to stick with the Gemtech. A few months go by, and nothing. Called in again. Said Gemtechs were out of stock, and he couldn't get mine in.So I called an actual reputable dealer in Daleville, and they said they could have one in the shop within three days. I told them to go ahead with the order, and pre-paid just as I had with Dan.Went back to Dan and tried to get my money back, but he refused. Took him to court and won my case, but he never appeared. To this day, he still owes me nearly $2,300.Dan is unethical. Buyer beware. I still find it hard to believe Dan would treat a veteran in this manner, considering he is in the heart of Army Aviation.

As a resident of Dothan, I found this to be a good business selling firearms and other goods. I recently had a positive interaction with their Facebook page. I had a few questions regarding what they currently had in stock and they were been responsive and quick to respond on their Facebook page. I would recommend this business if you’re looking to buy a firearm or other things of relevance.

I sent my two AR'S up there to have the gas systems looked at, and they did an awesome job checking them over . I couldn't be more satisfied by the job that was done and the customer service that I received as well as the device given by the sales person at the counter about upgrades they could do on my rifles.
