Needed a 2nd car. Went to this dealership around 1:00. 3 employees hanging on the counter. They said, what are you looking for. No hello, hi, nothing. Told them we needed a 2nd car and gave them the approximate price range. They said, those cars are out there at the end of the row and pointed in that area. Never offered to help us, never came out on the lot to answer any questions. When we left, they were still hanging on the counter. Customer service is horrible. Never again.

The agent (Erica) was amazing. My only complaint would be about the quality check. It started raining on the way home. I turned on the wipers to find that they were completely ripped apart. I immediately stopped to buy new ones.

We purchased a "new to us" 2020 Rav4 from Steven at the Dothan location. This was our first time purchasing or dealing with CarMax. Prior to arrival I had searched their inventory online and even asked questions to helpful team members over the course of a couple phone calls. We have been working on rebuilding our credit and it is still not the best. HOWEVER, this was by far THE BEST car buying experience we have ever had! CarMax is sooooo well organized & professional! Within just a few minutes of getting our information we found out who approved us and what they required. We didn't even have to get up and wait in another area for someone else in finance to talk to us. While our loan was being closed their team did a final detail on our Rav4 AND filled the tank up with gas! I can't say enough positive things about this car buying experience!! Thank you Steven & CarMax of Dothan! We love our new "Yoda"!

After sale support NOT so great! Purchased a 2022 Ford Ranger was nicely equipped with a decent price. I had to have it transferred from Texas. That went smoothly, the buying process was fairly quick but then the terrible after-sale support and trying to get my registration straight was unnecessarily difficult. I purchased the vehicle on 04 Jan, found out from my DMV that the registration had been transferred on or about 05 Jan BUT I did not receive my tag decal and registration paperwork until 24 Jan which was when my temp tags expired!! After 4 different phone calls to the Carmax remote Customer Service which was NO help (one guy told me I had to go to the DMV to figure it out) except for one lady who seemed to care just a bit more that then others sent an email to the Business Office. At least 3 different phone calls to the Business Office which did not result in much help either except to tell me it should arrive by (I got three different dates!) the last lady I spoke with at least confirmed the package was out for delivery so that was best helpful information I got during the whole unnecessary ordeal! Overall, not to bad which is why I marked 3 Avg but just beware you may not get much help after the sale has been completed.

This was our 3rd time buying from Carmax Dothan, AL. Unfortunately, our first purchase from them was totaled in less than 3 months, so we went right back. It only made sense to go back again when we were looking to replace our gas guzzler with something more economical. Every time we’ve been there the staff has been extremely helpful and accommodating with any request we’ve made. I would recommend this store to anyone looking for a vehicle.

Horribel DEI/Woke place and the cars do not "all" get the 125 point inspection, look up online at the lawsuits states filed, won and will need to file again. 10 return policy is to keep you in the car with ;itt;e to. no recourse and check that paperwork, 3rd party arbitration is for Carmax's protection NOT yours
