The sales person nor management didn’t know how to properly calculate loan to value on a vehicle and told us we couldn’t purchase the car. I had to show them over and over how to properly calculate it and they argued with me

After getting insurance money from my car being totaled and saving for a while, I decided to start looking for a car. I did research online to see what $10,000 would get so that I would have realistic expectations for my price range, I pulled into CarMax to see their selection. I could see from the parking lot a few cars that looked like they would be in/ under my price range. Because their cars are fenced in, I had to go walk through their building to access the vehicles. As soon as I walked in, I was approached by salesmen and asked what I was looking for. I told them I wanted to look at their vehicles that were around $10,000. The salesmen (multiple guys) proceeded to laugh in my face then said that they dont have any cars for around $10,000. They continued to laugh at me as I walked out of there. It was humiliating. I'm a straight forward person and I would rather them tell me if they dont have anything in my price range to not waste time but the way they laughed and carried on was gut wrenching, I will never go back there or recommend others to.

I had a great experience. My car was fairly new and in excellent condition. After about 45 minutes, Carmax bought my car for the full estimated online quote. I would refer friends and family to this company.

Nice they didn’t haggle the price of the car but they definitely try to haggle the car max care plane they offer, I told them i don’t want it and they tried to ask me with 3 different people if i wanted it and why i didn’t want it, pathetic. Still bought the car good price they didn’t clean it like i asked probably because i declined their car max care but other than that great. The sales people are so slow they milk that process, for why idk. We got there for a 1:30 appointment didn’t leave till 6:30. Other than the process and the customer service the pricing is fantastic.

Every aspect of purchasing our vehicle thru CarMax was completed with the highest of expectations. The staff including the ones who make sure the car is at its best working condition were superb. Brandon completed the paperwork . He was awesome. The man we saw the day before he has a little girl deserves special recognition & the young lady who initially saw us does too.

Everything was great, the only negative was that the tires tread was bald on the inside and so I have to buy a new set. Obviously, it is ultimately on me to make sure everything is in order though. Be sure to check your car well. Carmax has a minimum standard for tire tread, but some vehicles wear down tires from the inside edge because of how the tires mount. That said, very professional and pleasant experience.

My assistant was so nice on the process of walking me though process of me selling my Durango! Although I wish I could remember his unusual name but my brain is not working with me today. He was very hospitable and easy to communicate with. I will highly recommend y’all to friends in the future!! Thank you again!

I purchased a 2013 Nissan Rogue in june with a dealer warranty on this vehicle. Within a month and a half the car began having problems. I took the car to the dealership that I was told to take it to. This dealership says they are waiting for carmax to approve the work. It needs both drive axles and a transmission. It seems as carmax is dragging around approving this work being done. I'm feeling that they are now trying to get out of paying for this work being done. I'm wondering if I should show my warranty paperwork and tell my story to an attorney or if they will actually do what the warranty says they will

This is are 2nd purchase in less than a year. Its just easier and at least at the Dothan location, everyone is nice and helpful. It being a 2012 it needed a few things addressed which they did. Very happy, thanks
