Customer service is horrible and wont answer the most simple of questions. They take hours to respond via chat and if you don’t text them back immediately they cancel the conversation. Spectrum was never like this. Terrible price for what you are supposed to get and just all around not worth it.

Had the worst internet and customer service of my life for 3 years with this company!When I was finally able to switch due to moving, the rep we spoke to advised our final bill will be prorated. They lied. Elena H advised via chat that they will not prorate nor give a credit to compensate for their rep lying to us.10 mbs plan was 0.5 to 3mbs on a good day and quit working every time it rained!Also, any time they hooked up another customer at our connection box, the tech would inevitably screw up ours. It was out more than it was on!So glad to be done with this sorry excuse for an "internet provider".

Worst customer service of any company I have dealt with in my life. They know they are the only option in some rural areas so they do what they want. Good luck getting a live person on the phone or one who speaks and understands English. You can never speak to anyone local. Have to go through their phone line and get transferred from person to person, none of whom can help with any issues. They have changed their name to Brightspeed but still the same bad customer service we have had for years from CenturyLink.

Worst internet provider.If you can please avoid them at all cost.Purchase a modem from century link along with internet service, then I moved to a new address. Customer care telling me I will have to order new service along with a new modem before I can get connected. That’s as highway robber if you ask me. I will go with a much reputable internet provider ( Cox ) that’s also in the area.

If I could give less than 1 star, I would. I have been a customer with CenturyLink since 2007. The highest speed available in my area is 10Mbps... Yes!! 10!... I have asked about faster speeds with them for YEARS and have been told time and time again "we are working on it". For 14 years?!?!?! I Know what you're thinking "Just switch providers", right? I can't. They are the only provider for my address. I don't even live in a rural area either. I another provider would setup around here, they would bank. The customer service is terrible as well. They're rude and uncaring. I have stories...

Negative 6 Star Rating!!! CenturyLink Has robbed me of Internet speed for years. They have refused to upgrade their service hub within my area because they're too cheap to do so, so the speed goes to a sluggish crawl to being completely unable to use due to no service. I have been with this company for years, around eight. I paid for internet speeds even though I was not getting the full Internet speed that I was promised. I have been raked across the coals of their horrible internet service and customer service experience for No reason except CenturyLink does not care, it is not loyal to their customers, which I have been loyal to them without the fore knowledge Of what the problem was all along for years- CenturyLink. There is nothing that CenturyLink can do to repair a customer relationship that has been disregarded and treated as worthless. When CenturyLink's promises are not kept, services are not provided as presented and Lies are told over and over again about the reason why- it's time for me leave... My time is valuable, the days, months and years of my life dealing with these issues CenturyLink can not repay me for, ever! I hope Elon Musk puts CenturyLink out of business. Good riddance! If you are thinking about signing up with CenturyLink, you may want to find a different internet provider.

After spending several days trying to set up my internet via an IT department outsourced to India; finally got my internet online, problem is I couldnt even stream Netflix without serious latency. Do yourself a favor and spend a little extra with a cable internet provider. Centurylink is DSL = hot garbage.
