I bought a car there 2 months ago and first off they told us that it would only be 500 down and when we came in to get the car he was saying that offer has expired when my mother called up there the day before and asked if it would still be available and the guy said yes. So we ended up having to put 1000 down and then after driving the car for a month it started sliding Everytime we hit a bump and we can't even drive it in the rain because it's to dangerous to drive in the rain and then I go to try and get a tag for my car that I just bought and I can't even get the tag because they didn't even give us a bill of sale so that I could get my tag. I'm very disappointed because I am a loyal customer and this is my first time EVER buying a car and they are gonna do this to me? I just want to be able to drive my car without having to worry about if it's gonna slide off the road or not and they apparently told us that we had 14 days to make sure the car was alright but the car just now started messing up and the check engine light is on and it also is already saying it needs an oil change and the alignment is messed up on it and then I go to call y'all and y'all hang up on me and y'all got really rude with my mother and all she was trying to do was figure out what was going on because I could not get a tag and not to mention I got pulled over on the way to the tag office and I got lucky that the cop was very nice and let us go without looking at the paperwork because if he would've looked at the paperwork I would've been in trouble for not having the right paperwork I needed. So thank you Dothan auto sales and for everyone that is thinking about buying a car here I would NOT because all this is a scam!

They're currently under new management. So they're just starting in the business. The cars are ok, but maybe a little pricey for hail damaged vehicles. They help with credit repair, so if your credit is a little iffy. Certainly see what they can do for your auto needs But keep and eye out. They may be a force to be reckoned with in the coming years.

I only went here because of prior business I had with another dealer well known in the African American community. He does great business I purchased my last vehicle I traded in from him when he worked in another location. So when I contacted him I heard this is where he was working so I went to see what I could trade for. As always he was straight forward. The lady there didn't acknowledge us or greet us on the first visit. We had test driven two suv unfortunately the one we wanted didn't have proper breaks we found out on the dangerous test drive. Money was paid that evening, gave my trades vehicle title over and I received no paperwork that evening due to no ink in their printer...it took 4 days for them to get ink so I could have my paperwork to get it registered...my contact which is why I even went to this dealer was great communication daily and the next.morning I was told to take the truck to Jim Whaley for a oil change and brakes. Repairs needed for a sale basically without the brakes no one could buy it or drive it safely. Well the shop also said it needed a master cylinder which you can't put on brakes without the master cylinder so if I never came to trade or do a deal this is the work the dealer would have had to complete to have a vehicle safely drivable on the lot. Dealer couldn't add brakes without the master cylinder period. I sat at Jim Whaley for 6 hours. My contact called the owner and the ladies in the office told them the total price of what repairs it covered all in the Jim Whaley office. First the hold up was the master cylinder delivery I had to call to let the dealer know it wasn't delivered since the mechanic shop said nothing to me about how long they were waiting for that part so I can help get it there faster so lack of communication. Then the owner of the dealership was refusing to call to pay the bill so they could release my truck. I left there in hopes of going straight to the dealer to get my paperwork but again it wasn't ready. After 4 days of waiting I went to get my paperwork but they only was printing red not black and white so after another day went by they found out the tape was on the ink so I got my paperwork. This was the first time I met the owner of the dealership face to face he was pleasant until I was about to leave then he became aggressive stating I owe him money for the repairs. When I stated that I don't owe him anything he became aggressive the lady Heather jumped in front of me since he was coming in my direction and blocked me staying I did pay and I don't owe and she has the money trying to calm him down. I left immediately as my business there was complete and I don't tolerate disrespect or irate behavior. This being said my contact is the only reason I came there no longer works there and I'm glad I actually suggested he separate himself from someone who would treat a customer in such a way. I won't even come back to the dealership. I will do future business with my contact as he communicated well, answer questions, calls, and text messages and communicated for the repairs needed to put the truck on the road safely as in Breaks and oil change. Both my contact and Heather in the office agreed to these repair before I left that evening with the truck again driving home unsafely so the non sense with the owner not trying to pay and having me sit in Jim Whaley for hours on waiting for his call to pay the bill is disgusting business practice. I am in the top 10% of Google reviewers. I don't take reviewing lighty. I am honest ,descriptive, and want to lift Dothan businesses my hopes are that the public read this and use judgement. My hopes are the business reads this mainly the owner because My contact & Heather were fine people to work with but the owner is a disgusting human for the way he spoke to me and how he reacted. There is no way on this planet that Heather would feel the need to jump in front of me if she didn't feel the need to protect me. I appreciate you Heather and wish you the best. Whe

Terrible place to do business with. I went to purchase a car here but was told the car was sold to a woman in Panama City, FL. She was supposed to come pick the car up next morning. They attempted to show me a other vehicles but I wasn't interested. 1 male, 1 female was there. The male asked me before I left "are you interested in that car?". I replied yes. He then made a phone call that I believe now to be a false phone call. He told me "I told her the vehicle needs some work before it can be sold". I paid an initial $500 that evening for the car. I returned the next day to give the balance, which was a total of $8500. I gave the money, signed paperwork, and the deal was done. A test drive was also done. Car battery was charged and they gave me $40 to put fuel in the car. About 9 days later, after 5 car rides, I was in the vehicle when the entire transmission failed on me on the highway, in traffic. I had a friend to pick me up and take me home. Later on, I had my father take me to the car to take it home but the car went a mile and failed again, but luckily I was close to a car repair shop and was able to move it there. I notified the dealership, in person about it. I was told I wouldn't be left hanging with a big bill. I asked about the individuals who I bought the car from. I was told from every employee who works for Dothan Auto Sales that they weren't employees, but people that were just filling in, due to COVID-19 and Vacation.ive attached emails with instructions from Dothan Auto Sales as to what I should do. I've never received any held, ive have to tow the car 2 times, I've had many conversations with the receptionist, sales manager and the owner but have recieved no financial or even a response in months. I have still never seen the people that I gave my $9000 to. I think this is a fraud company that would rob anyone for money given the chance. My car is still in the shop and have received nothing from the company. THINK WISELY about doing business here. Seriously.DON'T FORGET TO RESPOND TO THE MOST RECENT REVIEW FROM THE LADY WHO'S EXPERIENCE WAS AS BAD AS MINE. IM STILL WAITING FORY LAWSUIT BECAUSE OF Y'ALL. FRIENDLY REMINDER THAT I HAVENT FORGOTTEN AND WON'T. STAY BLESSED

Well for starters I was sold a totaled car. They said they knew nothing about it. Had them trade it back in when I found out. I was told it would be sold back to the auction because it is illegal to sell totaled cars without telling the buyer. I clearly saw that they put it right back on the lot and sold it (knowing it was totaled). And now I get an alert on my credit that there was a delinquent account posted. Turns out they didn’t pay off my car for two months after it was traded into them. Oh and the car I got in return for the totaled one had a major oil leak in which I have had to pay almost $1000 to fix after only having the car a little over a month. Never once did they apologize for any of the inconvenience of this. And they tacked on some of my previous loan (from the totaled car)to the new car. Terrible customer service and they SELL TOTALED CARS!!!

Yes, this is a used car lot. Yes, there's a shortage of cars all over. You won't find certain things here, such as no haggle pricing or a credit check before even looking at cars.I went here in October during a WOOF FM radio remote event. Jennifer and CJ were awesome, and CJ stayed 2 hours past closing to let me look at several vehicles. I checked other places, but none had the selection or level of customer service as this car lot. Not only that, but they have better lenders. My credit isn't good, but it's for reasons other than just not paying bills and from complications after a not at fault car accident taking over a year to resolve. The lender understood that and looked at me and my pay stubs, and then did a phone interview. I got a much better rate than other places and my monthly payment is very reasonable.I saw a vehicle I liked, contacted them, and literally drove it home the same day after they called me back. They're good, honest people who appreciate good customers.I went back after buying to let CJ know of what I've had done to my vehicle and he appreciated everything so he can be make sure his cars are in great shape for you to buy.

Let me start this by saying if you need or want a car this is the first and only dealer in the wiregrass to go. As to our personal experience my wife and I are on a fixed income and were in urgent need of a new vehicle, after being turned away at several other dealers we happened on Dothan Auto Sales, CJ ,Liz and Marissa were incredibly helpful from start to finish, they went above and beyond to find us a car that fit us and our needs (literally showing us 7-8 different cars) they worked tirelessly to get our financing in place and when we had to leave the dealership to return the car we borrowed to get there they offered to drive to Henry County to pick us up to finalize our paperwork. I could go on about the help we received, our experience was exceptional and I would highly recommend them to anyone and I won't buy a car from anyone else we are customers for life. Thank you again for all you did for us I wish we could give more than 5 stars.

Update: my experience is with S&W auto, who registers the vehicles under Dothan auto’s license. Dothan Auto is working to correct the error and the review will be corrected upon issuance of a new title.Don’t walk out without a title, and check to make sure they’ve filled it out correctly. Should have been a quick and easy sell for them. They kept saying “it’s in the mail” finally had to drive back 1.5 hours, a three hour round trip, to get the title. I get it home and they filled it out 15k over on the odometer. Been trying to get it registered since the 9th (3 weeks) about to contact the attorney general because I can’t get a response.
