I haven’t been to this store but my mother went yesterday with my little sister because she wanted some shoes but she saw the boutique and like any customer she wanted to find some cute clothes and she was telling my how she felt out of place due to one of the girls that works there was watching her following her around making sure she doesn’t taking anything, we are Mexicans so idk if it was an act of racism from the girl but keep in mind we are humans and we have feelings too and trust me my family is wealthy enough to not steal anything and as her daughter it made me really upset and I wish I would’ve been with her to put that girl in her place because that’s just unacceptable and keep in mind they’re was a lot of customers in that store so why would she just follow and watch my mother??? Due to how uncomfortable it made my mother feel she ended up leaving the store as soon as she saw this kind of behavior

Hissyfits Boutique is my favorite store in Dothan. I’ve been shopping at Hissyfits for many years, and it has always been a great experience. I love their selection of gifts, E Newton, Barefoot Dreams, & Sorrelli. The friendly staff are eager to help, and the free gift wrap is an added bonus! I love Hissyfits!

New store is beautiful!I’ve been in the shop several times, and ALWAYS felt welcomed.Hissyfits has several girls working there to give you the best possible shopping experience you can have. The store is always clean, and I love seeing the new product. Especially the jewelry.Don’t fall for a race baiting review. Dothan is welcoming of everyone, and this store is no different.

I’ll be the first to tell you, shopping is not my favorite thing. BUT the girls at Hissyfits made shopping so much easier. I went in the other day to grab a few things for a birthday party and the sweet girls that helped me made my experience SO easy! They even wrapped the gift I bought right then! Every single associate spoke to me as I made my way through the store and made me feel like I was apart of their family. If you haven’t gone to Hissyfits new location at 480 Westgate Parkway, you are truly missing out!

On 9/9/23, my daughter stopped by the store to check it out. She’d passed by several times and decided to stop. She was NOT greeted nor helped. Moreover, a customer went over where she was standing a brushed her, clearly having enough room to pass by. My daughter felt like they were watching her entire shopping experience and even stopped talking when she entered the store. As a Black woman, she felt that she was not the clientele that they wanted in their store. So she, I and NONE of our family and friends, both Black or White, will be shopping in this store. My black dollars will be well spent at other boutiques around Dothan, Alabama and I will make SURE to tell everyone I know about the very racist experience my daughter had. #dontmakemehaveahissyfit #racists
