We’ve stayed here several times over the past few years with our large dog. They renovated all of the rooms last year which is nice, but they still have the window AC/heat units which are loud and the heat in ours didn’t work well and never shut off. They also use Dish satellite instead of cable so the TVs cut out often. The hotel is in a good location, serves a hot breakfast, and it’s mostly quiet and seems safe; we’ve never had any issues. We stay there because they accept large dogs, but we do miss the days of no charge for pets (now it’s $25 per night) and the nightly rates overall have went up since the renovation, but I guess that’s how it goes. Anyway, it’s a decent enough hotel if you land a good rate since the prices seem to fluctuate quite a bit.

Last minute reservations that were made affordable & considerate of my requests. Very nice customer service from reservations to the front desk. Rooms have what you need, comfy beds(firm)/pillows & a great shower with the usual amenities of better hotels. We felt secure & did see all hotel areas on security screen @ check-in. Pet friendly, which served us well since 1 of our 3 rooms brought a pup along.Noteworthy details: Great FREE breakfast with lots of options that will please most pallets.Pet friendly!Great location!

The people at the service desk were nice, and the breakfast buffet was adequate, but the room was a hot mess. You could see through the wash clothes they were so thin. We found dog hair on the floor where the room had not been sufficiently cleaned. Also, we found some type of stain (probably blood) on the sheets on the corner of the mattress. I would not come back to this hotel, and will find a different place to stay in Dothan the next time I pass through.

Overall check in was super quick and easy, once we got into the room we noticed dog food was left in the bathroom on the floor. Floors weren’t clean because dog Fur was EVERYWHERE! Washcloths were literally paper thin (usually we bring our own), but the one time we don’t ?♀️. Once we were ready for bed we pulled back the sheets to find dried up blood stains and at this point I was grossed out completely. Wish I could leave 0 stars.

My wife and I stayed 2 nights at this location. We had a bad experience at another La Quinta location but decided to stay here. Yes, there was serious road construction going on at the site but not the hotels fault (made it a little tough to get in and out of the parking lot). Front desk personnel were friendly and helpful. The room was clean with no foul smells as others have noticed. Very comfortable beds. Yes, it is evident that this location is in need of renovations and updates but our stay was pleasant. The breakfast was very good (scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy among other items). We were charged the price we were quoted. Overall a good experience. We will probably stay at this location again.

On a scale of 1-10, 10 being excellent. This facility doesn't even deserve a rating. It was my first time visiting Dothan for a family gathering. My Boyfriend and I were traveling from Florida, which is almost a 4 hour drive from where we're located. We were looking forward to staying at this hotel due to the pictures from the website & close proximity to some of the restaurants & shopping centers. However,upon our arrival,before entering the hotel, we could tell by the exterior of the building that it's not well kept. Once we entered,we noticed the dirty floors, walls, and smell of marijuana lingering the hallways. We asked the Service Manager if we could see our assigned room before paying for our stay. He agreed by giving us the access key card and to the room we went! Once we entered,the room looked as if it had not been cleaned in days,despite seeing Housekeepers "cleaning" other rooms on the same floor. Dirty carpet, questionable stains on walls, sheets, and toilet. To add to it all. as if it couldn't get worse,there were roaches out on display, crawling in & out of cracks throughout the sleeping area & bathroom. After observing all of this, it was an Immediately NO!! We returned the key,told the Manager to cancel the transaction and left. Fortunately, we found another hotel to stay in short noticed. However,to our surprised, days later,found out we were charged for the room despite never staying there. We called on to dispute the charges but the Manager claimed to have never seen us nor remembering the exchange. He claimed,that he would have to investigate our claims before he's able to issue a refund. He was defensive, argumentative,and lack the professionalism to be in the industry of hospitality. We will NEVER return and do not recommend this hotel.

Witnessed an employee yell at and threaten a guest who he blamed for disturbances caused by other guests. I had witnessed her and her 3 young children standing quietly and speaking to another guest in the hallway prior to the incident. The behavior of the employee was out of control and frightening. So far, the only reply to my complaint about the employee's behavior has pbeen to say they took care of it by expelling the guest. Horrendous that La Quinta and Wyndham permits this behavior.

My family had a bad wreck coming home from the beach. We decided to stay here for the night and hit the road in the morning. I got my room online from the hospital and it was $131 for a 2 bed queen. That's fine. My mom and aunt got a room together when we got here at the hotel and it was a 2 bed queen and it was $169. My cousin got in at 1 this morning and his room was $200. I decided to ask the person at the desk which was a different person why the prices were so different and she couldn't tell me. Sounds like Abdul who worked last night screwed us. The lady this morning at the desk was really nice but couldn't give us a simple explanation. They charge what they want. Not what the online prices say and so when you get here you're stuck and not wanting to go anywhere else. Don't get overcharged and fall for that scam like we did.

Heard commotion in the hallway and stepped out to witness an employee of the hotel yelling at and threatening a woman with three small children with her. The police were called and assisted the woman in finding another place to stay where she would feel safe. Regardless of the decency of the rooms and the price, I am not planning to stay at this location again. This type of belligerent behavior should never be tolerated.

I would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone! I witnessed the worst customer service during my stay here when a male employee literally yelled & threatened a female customer in front of her 3 minor children. In fact, he was so loud that other tenants came out of their room to see what was going on. Since he chose to act this way in front of the room I was staying in with my family, my 2 minor children also witnessed this behavior. It scared them & made them feel unsafe staying there. We chose to leave & reach out to the company regarding our experience only to find out that they are willing to do absolutely nothing. I refuse to support a business with such terrible customer service & I will continue to make known our experience.

Price GOUGING During a Hurricane!!!August 2023My grandson, wife and 2 small sons, had to leave Florida because of Hurricane Idaila. There were no rooms anywhere we searched hotel after hotel, city after city, he finally found the last one(hotels words) here. These people charged them $256 for an $80-90 room. My kids did not have much extra, they had no choice but to stay there. I hope you will choose another place to stay, it won't help my family, but will definitely hurt this sorry hotel.

Turn in at the Waffle House to navigate to this hotel. The construction does make things confusing, which is not the hotel's fault. Also the area construction seems to be causing all of the tub faucets to have slow drips. I hope the city settles down the pressure in the pipe soon. I have stayed at this location three times recently and have always been happy with everything (except for the road construction). A/C is great. Sound insulation is pretty good.

This hotel has management problems. The hotel was OK but service was poor and getting thru to management was like trying to get an audience with royalty. Come on....

We stayed there for one night with our dog. The room was clean and comfortable. We had an issue with the billing after we had checked out is why I didn't give it 5 stars. Took a week and multiple phone calls on my part to straighten it out. Should have been handled at check out.
