Brought in a John Deere skid steer to get maintenanced and fix a leak and was told it was going to be 11,000 to fix it so I told not to fix it but still do the service. They called and told me the tractor was ready and when we picked it up there were panels missing that were just thrown in the bucket and no bolts to be found and they didn’t even put the nuts back that hold the cab down. They wanted to charge me 140 an hour to send a tech out. I wouldn’t recommend going here to get anything fixed. Sales people seemed nice though but the maintenance department no good

I had a problem with my John Deere X320 mower stalling out after about 30 minutes of operation. Then it was near impossible to get it restarted without letting it sit for an extended period of time. Took it to Sun South in Dothan, Nov 2023, for repairs and $292.41 later I had the same problem. Did some searching of YouTube videos and bought a circuit board from Amazon for $40. Have now completed a pretty full mowing season with zero issues.

Joshua Dean guided us through the purchase of a new 5067E. We couldn’t be happier with the tractor and with the service Joshua and Sunsouth provided. We looked at many tractor brands, but were confident that John Deere and the Sunsouth dealership would be there to support us for years to come. About a month or so ago I started shopping for a new 75 horsepower tractor. For a few weeks I shopped every brand of 75 horsepower tractor available except John Deere. I have always owned Deere products and I know they are great products but I do not agree with anything John Deere has been doing lately at a corporate level. I was on my way to purchase a New Holland but in the interest of fairness I decided to just stop by John Deere. I was greeted by Mr. Phillip Stough and I told him exactly what I was doing, what I wanted and why I felt so strongly about John Deere. My wife and I and Mr. Stough went into his office and while we were talking about a lot of different things we would always circle back to talking about tractors. While we were talking he had pulled up all of my information in the computer system and he said something that it really impressed me. He told me he would do everything within his power to keep me in a green tractor. I know salesman just talked sometime but I will say he truly did what it took to keep me in green; He truly went above and beyond. I told him he had given me a lot to think about so I would need a couple days to pray and sleep on my decision. He put absolutely no pressure on me to buy a deere he just compared apples to apples and gave me the facts. A few days later I decided I was ready to buy and the whole process was almost too easy.i electronically signed all the documents and the next day my new 5075E was sitting in my yard. Now I have a great tractor which I love and I learned that corporations can make decisions we might not agree with but there's still the human factor involved at the local level. I am definitely thankful I stopped in and met Mr. Stought and also feel like I have made a friend.

Bought a Z345r here about 3 years ago. Was so excited to have a mower that will last. Wrong. Blade bolts snapped, deck bent, all Issues under 20 hours..nothing of course ever was covered under my warranty. Did routine pm maintenance more often than required, including cleaning my carb seasonally. Engine just started knocking and locked up at 250 hours, never again. Most sorry purchase I've ever made. Glad it's gone now.

Needed a part for a Stihl chainsaw. Employee never looked up from his cell phone when we entered. Stood waiting for assistance. Guy finally addressed us, still while on his phone. Was very curt and borderline rude throughout entire interaction. They did not have the needed part in stock. 2 stars because he did at least provide us with the needed part number so that we could order it online ourselves and have it shipped.

I purchased a 333G and a Fencon mulch head recently. I personally dealt with Josh Dean which is the sales manager. The process was VERY smooth and EDUCATIONAL. He even took me to the shop to meet the mechanics and get there outlook on most common issues they see caused by operator/lack of maintenance. A few days later, no fault to anyone, we had a mechanical failure. Not only did Josh help me at 7pm(2 hours after he was off), he met me the next day, picked up the part and got it covered 100% and replaced! Any unit, any name can probably do the same thing, but it's the after the sale customer service! To my knowledge there isn't another Josh Dean! At the least give him/them the opportunity to earn your trust along with your business!
