August 2025 by Beautiful Black Queen
At first It was an Issue with receiving mail in my complex because they were being newly built back in May 2025 & they somewhat still isn’t finished. But the company has registered the address in JULY so it WOULDN’T be ANYMORE problem’s with anyone receiving their mail/PACKAGES, UPS & FEDEX never have a problem with PUTTING the packages IN front of our doorsteps. So whoever is the driver to deliver PACKAGES over here on 3305 FLYNN ROAD!!! Either you are a lazy individual or you’re older and can’t physically lift heavy things. Because WHY/HOW IN THE WORLD did I receive a notification stating that “we were unable to deliver your package @5:37pm, on 08/08/2025 because the BUSINESS was closed!!!!!!!!” WHAT BUSINESS???? COME DELIVER IT TO ME AT MY DOORSTEP” my apartment number is CLEARLY on my package. And if you worried about walking up a flight of stairs don’t be cause I live DOWNSTAIRS on the first floor!!!!!! Utilize yours eyes & legs
You knew EXACTLY what you signed up for when you applied for that job position, we should NOT have to keep coming up there to pick up our packages it’s ridiculous at this point.

I don’t know who is delivering my packages here on 449 Butler road but this is the third time the vendor I ordered from told me my items were marked delivered and when I go to the parcel locker nothing is there. Only specific items go missing, it’s only when I order items in bulk. They’re either mis delivering my items or they’re stealing them. Either way, this needs to be fixed immediately!!

For some reason, they were closed today for 2 hours for a lunch break. There is one employee here. Are you guys short staffed? What’s the issue here? Hopeful for improvements.

Our neighborhood has brick mailboxes, which makes it difficult to attach a traditional flag. Our previous mail carrier had a great system—using a red magnetic sticker to indicate outgoing mail. It worked perfectly until she was reassigned.
About 6-8 months ago, I started noticing outgoing mail sitting in the mailbox for days. I called the station manager, explained the situation, and he acknowledged that a new carrier might need an adjustment period; totally understandable too. He assured me the issue would be addressed. Unfortunately, nothing changed. Most of the time, I resorted to taking my outgoing mail to the post office myself, but mail carriers are paid to pick up outgoing mail and deliver incoming mail.
After Presidents’ Day 2025, I had mail sit in my box for three days, it was about the last straw. Instead of picking it up, the carrier simply placed new mail on top of the outgoing pieces. I tried calling the post office, but no one answered. So, I drove there and called while standing in the lobby. I could hear the phones ringing, but the employees were ignoring them. Very high class. I then filed a second complaint with the manager, who again assured me it would be taken care of.
That same day, I had an issue with the postage amount, so upon returning home I corrected it and placed the mail back in the box. And yet, the outgoing mail was ignored again. At that point, I filed an Inspector General (IG) complaint. The IG office called me the next day and informed me that not only did we have a new carrier, but our route was now being serviced by multiple carriers from up to 30 miles away. That is great and all but how do you miss mail sitting in a mailbox or placed on an open mail door?
The proposed solution? Use the online pickup scheduling tool. That works when I can give 24 hours’ notice, but what about same-day mail? Shouldn’t mail carriers use their eyes and brain cells to fulfill one of their two core responsibilities—picking up mail?
The problem persisted. I scheduled pickups when I could, but on 3/4/25, I had three outbound packages in the box with the red magnet clearly visible. I watched as the mail carrier stuffed new mail into the box and left without taking the outgoing items. Seriously? Luckily, I was able to track down another mail carrier who accepted the packages which saved me a trip to the post office.
Then today, 3/6/25, I had an urgent package to send. To make sure it was noticed, I built and installed a large wooden flag on my brick mailbox—three to five times the size of a regular flag. As you can see from the pictures, it’s impossible to miss. I didn’t have time to schedule a pickup, nor should I have to—flags exist for a reason. And yet, the package was ignored. AGAIN. Yall are running out of excuses.
I’m done. I’ve been patient for 6–8 months. I’ve tried being polite, understanding, kind and diplomatic. Nothing works. As I write this, I’ve already filed another IG complaint. Next, I’ll be contacting #DOGE, my congressman Barry Moore, and every member of The Subcommittee on Federal Workforce, U.S. Postal Service, and Labor Policy about the ongoing mess in 36303.

I'm not a fan of them not being able to print prepaid labels, to me that's ridiculous. Also we waited 30 mins just to be told that.

Honestly if I can give this post office 0 stars I would. They admitted to me yesterday that they delivered my package to a completely wrong address and the package contained items worth up to 300 dollars in it, was insured and a priority package. It’s been two days since it’s been delivered and they refuse to answer the phone and intercept my package so I can receive the items that was sent, therefore I will be filing a police report for theft.

Staff are nice people but the lines are incessantly long and every transaction seems to take an eternity. Trying to mail something on your lunch break - you might as well take a personal day. They need more people at the counter. There is 5 registers and never more than 2 people working.

One of the staff members is extremely disrespectful towards women. He spoke in such a manner that was incredibly demeaning. There is no excuse to talk to a woman like she’s a child. Just because you’re clearly miserable in your own life is no excuse to project that onto a customer who just asked a question.

I don’t usually write bad reviews, because I work in customer service and I understand that everyone has bad days…but this was just uncalled for. An older gentleman working behind the counter was beyond rude and condescending towards me. I walked out of that building with tears in my eyes. He humiliated me in front of the other customers and talked to me as if I was five years old. The Slocomb location has a much nicer staff and I will be going there from now on.
