I selected Jim Cook Ford to buy my Maverick based strictly on comparing reviews of local Ford dealers. I found the sales reps very friendly but did not hesitate to tell you a lie rather than research a question. Sales manager was fine, but the owner is the most insensitive sales person I have ever met. Ed Sherling is a much better option.

I'd been looking everywhere for a nice Sport Trac to replace mine that was recently totaled. I hit the jackpot when I found not just the vehicle I was looking for but a outstanding dealership as well. Brock and Shannon had me smiling all 670 miles back home to Texas in my new to me Sport Track.

It's just what you can expect from a small town dealer the folks treat you like family and they take care of your needs and do there best to get you in and out in a timely fashion when the other bigger city dealers couldn't get me in for a service I've never been told that at Cook Ford of Elba!

Our experience with Jim Cook Ford was nothing short of first-class. I’ll start with the fact that I hate shopping for new vehicles. It takes too much time and so many people try applying way too much pressure.Anyways, Jim Cook Ford had a vehicle in stock that I wanted to test drive. I called them after work one day to find out if it was still available and arrange a test drive. I spoke with Brock and he told me that I could stop by anytime for a test drive. I warned him I only wanted to test drive and had no plans on walking away with the vehicle that day. He encouraged me to come by when I was ready.When I showed up at the dealership he had the vehicle ready to go and threw me the keys. After the test drive, Brock answered a bunch more questions and was straight forward when I asked him something he didn’t know. Never once did he try to make up answers to anything he didn’t know.The price and customer service was great so I had a lot to think about as I walked away that day. Anyways, I took a day off work later in the week and traveled a bit further to a larger city to see what kind of deal I could get. Let me tell you that trip ended poorly. I was so disgusted at getting treated as just another number. The place didn’t care about my name or me. They just wanted to know what I wanted for a monthly payment. Even worse was the fact that the dealership was trying to pass off a beat up vehicle as nearly new.Once I was convinced the vehicle Jim Cook Ford had was the one for me, I called Brock. He told me it was still on the lot. I arranged another visit and was literally “sold.” Brock did such a fantastic job at never pressuring the sale. He treated me as a person who had options. I could never say enough good things about the dealership. Even after the sale I heard from Brock a couple of times following up on my satisfaction. What more could a person ask for?

All I can say is wow!! I have a Ford Focus that needed a Harmonic Balancer replaced and took it to another Ford Dealership in Troy because that it's close to my work and they promised it would be repaired the next day. Well needless to say 8 days later and one lie after another one I decided to call Jim Cook. They not only ordered parts and made the repairs in 4 days. The total cost of the repair was cheaper that the labor quoted at Troy. Needless to say Jim Cook has my service work from now on.

Great service and friendly staff. Purchased my F250 a few years ago from them and they do the service on it as well.
