Dean's is an awesome transmission business. Like so many other reviews I saw before taking my car to Dean, he hooked his monitor to the car and rode with me driving so he could determine the cause of the issues I was experiencing. He gave me his honest opinion and did not do like a lot of places do and just try to take my money by saying I needed something that may or may not resolve all my issues. He will give you the good, the bad, and the ugly! This is a family owed business and not part of a big chain that just cares about money. They care about their customers and their reputation first and foremost! I trust Dean and will DEFINITELY take any of my cars to him if the need arises! HIGHLY recommend! Look no further, THIS is the place you should go!

Amazing service!!! Great people that really care about people!!! In the last 2 hours of our 13 hour drive the transmission in my GMC Yukon started acting up. Found Dean’s shop on Tuesday and was able to get a new transmission shipped in and installed by Friday. Thank you again for your amazing service and being genuine people that care about others.

I have taken two vehicles here in the last couple of months, one of which had to be repaired because another shop could not. I cannot say thank you enough for the great quality of work, fair prices and efficiency. Dean's will always have my business!

I broke down on the way to a dentist in Orange Beach. Got a recommendation from the dentist staff the Dean’s was the best. Gave them a call, worked out the details, and had the vehicle towed there. They have been good to communicate with.
I’ve yet to pick it up, so will update this post.
Overall, I’ve been impressed.

Went on a diagnostic ride with a nice gentleman who determined the issue was not enough horsepower getting out of the engine versus any issue with the transmission. I called up, rolled in and had this all figured out in a quick test drive. I very much appreciate a business that int trying to charge me money for unnecessary repairs.
Highly recommended. They only do transmissions, no oil changes or other services, FYI.

Was recommended to me by a friend Nice people but my transmission is still slipping after them working on it 3 separate times. they rebuilt it once told me I needed to get a reman one which was several thousand more I did it. Drove it for a while started slipping took it back they put another one in supposedly. it’s still slipping . in my 01 f150

Would highly recommend for replacement of a transmission or diagnostics. Dean was great at explaining what was going on with the transmission while testing it. We needed a whole new remanufactured transmission and it was finished within the day of it arriving at the shop. No problems after 2 months. Dianne his wife is very nice to work with as well! Thanks for your service Deans Transmission!

Caution to all... it took 7 weeks for them to get my truck right , a 2007 silverado. I was hollered at and hung up on when i questioned when my truck would be completed. I would give zero stars but not an option. I definitely do not recommend for anyone.

Wish there was a 10 star. A mechanic at a local Gulf Shores business told me he would go to Dean's for my transmission problems.
So, I went. He road in my truck with me as the transmission was acting up. He had his computer hooked up and would explain to me everything he was seeing.
I decided to go ahead and get a new transmission.
I've got to say, it's been quite some time since I've received such excellent service from a mechanic shop.
Very reasonable price and very quick service. Truck is running top notch now thanks to Dean's Transmission put the new transmission in.

We went on vacation to Gulf Shores AL. My transmission started acting up on way there, my husband called and spoke with Dean and him and his wife both went above and beyond to get my Tahoe in and fixed by Friday before we went home on Saturday. I could not thank them enough and the price was very reasonable under the circumstances. EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!
