For a long time here lately...I have been very disappointed by the empty shelves and especially for three weeks now a refrigerator that holds eggs , cheese , etc...HAS STILL MOT BEEN REPAIRED!! I had higher expectations of DG than what I have seen for a long time in the Elberta, Al store managed by Rebecca...!
I have decided to start going back to the many grocery stores in Foley now! I have waited long enough....and don't try to give the excuse that you can't get products!!! Every other store can even the private owned Elberta grocery!! Go ahead and close up...we the public have lost trust in DG...and also know the prices are not matching up at the register to what is advertised! That's why you took away the screen that shows THE CUSTOMER WHAT A ITEM SVANS AT...! other than the self check out that did...now it's out of order for over 7 months now! And this problem with DG has already been exposed! Lately when what little I am able to get at DG in Elberta Al...the receipt DOES NOT HAVE THE PRICE ON IT!!! this is more than a glitch...lately...I can't even get a receipt.printer issues! Please close up or show respect to the customers bringing money in there!! ELBERTA AL DOLLAR GENERAL needs to be investigated...! I will be watching

They younger guy whos been working there for the past few days has a very unpleasant and disrespectful attitude. I had a handful of items and I accidentally left my credit card in my car. I asked him to suspend my transaction so that other people can check out and he said, "you have to go get it because I don't want to have to ring all this up again." Really?? It was 6 small items. I apologized and he was cold to me. This guy acts like he's never made a mistake in his life. Poor customer service

Watch out for these brutes.... mean as can be and can't do math and assume you can't either. I got a bachelor's degree but I don't need that to tell you 10+12+11% ain't $35 it's like $25. They assumed I did something wrong with the sale so I went and grabbed the sale tag and proved them wrong and the manager just dug her heels in while the new girl got quiet and realized her boss was being a dingus. I said keep your stuff and left after that disrespectful treatment for some junk food I don't really need to begin with. Lesson number 1 manager lady is the customer is always right until proven wrong. I was assumed wrong until I proved myself right so you missed day 1 of manager school. You also missed day 1 of adulting... don't run your mouth when you are wrong. Eat 1 stars! You earned it!

The staff was very very rude and inconsiderate of my needs. The manager that was there when I went would not help me at all with what I was looking for and was overall just rude.

Young blonde female employee is super rude and uncaring. If the management has any backbone they will handle the problem. Employees are a reflection of management. Good thing I was in self check-out and just witnessed her being rude to about three customers in a row. If it would have been me I would have dropped all my items and walked out and spend my money else where. Nobody was rude to her so need to give that attitude in return. Expect what you inspect.

I had the absolute worst experience so far at this location the young blonde girl who worked 10/30 around noon was the absolute cockiest and rudest worker I’ve seen at this DG, I get how she was doing her job, but she certainly didn’t have to treat a paying customer so rudely!!! Can’t believe the management would allow someone like her to work for their business and treat customers so rudely. If she is working next time when we come in, we will be boycotting this location because it shows the management doesn’t care who works for them and how they treat their paying customers. Most other workers that we have seen in our years of coming to this location have been pleasant and always a joy to come see, except this certain employee... very disappointed how someone so rude could be working here serving our small community.

Sitting here at 9:48pm. They've had their doors shut with no entry since 9:30. Lazy and the store is PACKED with crates not unpacked. I understand if you're understaffed, but when I see three employees smoking outside and two inside... there's no reason to have had crates stacked EVERYwhere in the store that haven't been unpacked for WEEKS!! I can only assume that these people literally don't care. It's pitiful. Take your business somewhere else.

Upon buying a 12 pack of beer I was informed they needed to swipe my drivers license. I refused. I was then told by the manager to not be causing the check out guy any grief. They did sell me the beer, I was made to feel like I was an idiot. There is no reason to swipe a persons DL, I am 67 years old and may look like 80.The only time they need to check a persons DL is if you look under 21. I may never set foot in this store again. I know it was not the employees or manages doing but this policy is very upsetting to ME.
