When asked if they carried my medicine they told me they don’t take any new patient.

Update: I received a phone call from Tonya, the owner. She was mostly disturbed by my review, unwilling to hear out their establishments shortfalls and unwilling to admit they dropped the ball on getting proper forms filled out when we became new clients. I told her I was willing to remove my post if she could just make it right, she said it looks like I’ve made up my mind to leave so I should just do that. Great customer service ?What a disappointment! When we moved to Elberta it was important to me to find a local pharmacy that I could work with for our entire family’s prescription needs. I believe in supporting and shopping local so Elberta Pharmacy seemed like a great fit. I havnt had any issues until today. I visit this pharmacy twice a week, we buy all our over the counter medications and creams there- not because it’s cheapest but because it’s convenient and I believe in support smaller stores. When we became new patients about a year ago I came in to get my entire family set up. I care for my elderly mother as well as my disabled brother, and am the only one that is able to obtain there medications. Today after calling in for a normal refill on an active prescription I was told by Brittany that she can’t do anything for my mothers prescription refills because hippa forms havnt been signed by her. After months of picking up these same medications, now we need to go back and do paperwork? It blows my mind… a big box store takes request from family members for refills and lets them pick up, even if it’s a controlled substance with proper identification. Brittany made it clear this was not her problem and even though I expressed I was out of state at the moment and really needed this script to be filled, she had a “not my problem” mentality. In a world where life already so stressful you shouldn’t have to argue with your pharmacist on procedures they would like to start randomly doing. I’m for regulations- but these forms, if needed, should have been brought up when our family was first established as new customers. Leaving Elberta Pharmacy… dissatisfied and disappointed. - The Henderson’s

My experience with this pharmacy over the last 17 years has went from great to terrible. Still I continued to get prescriptions filled because this pharmacy is the closest to my home. In doing so, I got lied to. This time I was told one of my special order medications couldn't be filled due to reason they said the insurance company gave. That was found to be incorrect after calling my insurance company and the prescription sent to another pharmacy. Needless to say I will not be returning. Please be aware of your rights and remember to ask questions.

This is my first and last experience with this pharmacy. I had originally went to CVS but they were out of the medicine my daughter needed, so I called Elberta pharmacy since they were so close to the house and they were smaller I figured they would have it in stock. When I called the lady on the phone was super nice and said they had it in stock. So I had her prescription transferred to them. I expressed to her the importance of calling me to let me know when it was ready, since I was going to be headed into work but she said it was only going to be a few minutes and she'd call me. I very patiently waited , since she said she would call me when it was done. After waiting an hour I called. When I called the lady told me it was ready, so naturally I was a little upset seeing as how I didn't get a phone call. Then, I asked how long it had been ready, then she told me "oh it's a liquid it has to be mixed when you get here." Why wasn't I told that originally? I literally live two minutes down the road. A simple phone call would've been nice, seeing as how they weren't busy at all. I've been in customer service for a long time and you don't tell somebody you're going to do something and then don't do it, especially when you're a small business. This whole experience was very frustrating.
