I stopped here for years when I lived in M'sippy, this place used to have a real comfortable feel. It's been about 5 years since my last trip down here and boy has it changed. So a nice quiet place to stop and do a ten or eight. The evening food was great... But the people that work and run this place have changed. B. I love bigotry. This little gem in the South Central rural Alabama area is full of it. Double standards run amuck. It is so nice to see that the chickens have come home to roost and the tables are turned on "clear people"(her words but mine).Prices are ridiculous. $4.05 for one breakfast sandwich on a hamburger bun. The egg was cold and the bun was hard and dry. Now she didn't just reach in and grab one of the many sandwiches stacked in there, she poked most of them with her finger in what I would like to think was an attempt to find the fresher ones. LoL, yeah right. They all changed from laughing and talking to side eye talking low and ignoring me standing right there to order. Took forever. They didn't treat all the customers that way just a few "clear" ones. I'm still stopping in here. If for nothing more than to annoy them young kids that feel like they don't have to work once they arrive at work.

My cousin and I always stop by here to get a meal whenever we go to the Silver Star. The best meal we have the whole time we're at the casino.

Stood here for ten minutes trying to get some breakfast and couldn’t get waited on. I’ll go elsewhere. I’m not begging anyone to take my money.

Stopped for gas and a snack, ended up getting THE best carry out food EVER! I wish this place wasn't over 2 hours away but I loved it enough to drive the 2 hours next time I want southern cooking! And the cobbler was sooooo good!!

They have on Site, some of the old times ways of John Deere farming equipment used for cotton farming, hay gathering, plowing, and cultivating that I have never seen before. They keep it clean and Painted to help Preserve them. The Property is Well Manicured Always. We always stop here for a break to stretch our legs, use the restroom, and purchase a snack, Drinks, on our way through to Philadelphia Mississippi. We enjoy taking the back roads to see the scenery and farmlands along the way.Stop in at M&M, they are always very Courteous and make us feel welcome, and urge us to return. This is Country Folks and living at its Finest!!!Stop by and say Hello.

We are kind of Out-of-Town'ers. Weekenders that travel 250 miles one way may be a better term . We discovered the Emele area and found out about this hidden gem of a restaurant 4/5 years ago. The food WAS ALWAYS great. The staff, I wanted to take home with me. However, about 3 months ago the kitchen team (of over 20 years) that created southern eatable heaven, just quit. They left. I don't know why and I don't care. After about three visits since their exodus my grub has been awful. I/We mostly eat breakfast at the diner so I can only speak about it in this write up. 1.The eggs (cook to order) were either under or over cooked. Scrambled eggs/fried hard/fried medium, it did not matter. We spit it out. That means we did not swallow it. It was not worthy of the customary nonverbal , "man I tried" swallow/gulp.2. Grits were just that, gritty. It tasted like unseasoned sand. Some grains of grits were waaay under cooked. Also, I like cheese grits ( it's a southern thing) but I could not taste the cheese. I don't expect pizza levels of cheese but at least let it look cheesy if it taste like sand. 3. The Meat: I know that this has to be cooked as a non-cooked to order menu item because we carnivores love it and it goes fast. But LORDY, can it at least be cooked on the same day? No red meat should be chewy-crunchy should it? And once, well....really on my final try at this place, they ran out of bacon. Come on! It is a farming community and there are wild hogs everywhere! No bacon, really?!And 4. The only reason for the one star: At least the sugared down sweet tea was not as bad as the rest of the menu. There is nothing like the start of a new cavity!Note to owners/manager: I want to update this review to something good. Please get the older crew or a better kitchen cook crew. If you want to continue to have diners please ask the long term crew (on bended knees if necessary) to come back as they know the community. I love great food and after a long week of crazy, I need great food. Also note that on one occasion I overheard other diners at nearby tables saying they would not return. That area and the salt-of-the-earth-people (early rising hard working farmers, hard working utility crews, seasonal hunters, and truck driver's) deserve it!
