Terrible doctor! She told my daughter she was lying about her prescription and now a few months later having to pay for another exam and glasses! Thanks a lot.

We went here because they had relatively good reviews, my husband's experience was not good. He received new lenses for his glasses and quickly learned the new prescription was not right. In fact he could now see better without glasses than with them. We have it a few days to be sure and then called them. They said bring them back, which we did. The person looked up his OLD prescription and said this one was considerably weaker - makes no sense. So she set up a re-examination for the first available appointment, 4 days later. We showed up right on time, only to be told we had no appointment and the doctor was completely booked! The next week we were going out of town so this now meant we had to wait 10 days for a new appointment. On the next appointment, he says the doctor was in a big hurry, not giving him adequate time to "compare" the pictures they flash up asking which is more clear. She said his exam this time showed different results as the one 3 weeks ago and wrote a new prescription, but rather rudely said his answers were "inconsistent " and that if the new one doesn't work, he should consult an ophthalmologist about cataracts. Now almost a month with glasses he can't see out of, we are waiting, again, for new lenses. We will NEVER use this location again.

i was recommended to Dr Sally Moore by my boss who found her Vision Operations in WalMart stellar. I am a confessed WalMart snob so would not have ordinarily picked WalMart as my vision professionals. Dr Moore and her staff are indeed stellar. They spend the time and attention to do your eye exam thoroughly and accurately, then to make sure that your lenses fit the way you use them. Everyone with whom i dealt at this location was very professional and competent - including the Registered Optician who took time with me to select frames on a 'fashion consult'

There are 2 separate businesses in here. The Exam part is THE BEST EVER. Dr Sally Moore gave me an eye exam that was much more thorough than I have ever had. Yes, inside of a jam-packed Super Wally World. My eyes have been through it all from surgeries to hyperbaric chambers. I walked out seeing better than I imagined. A few friends swore by Dr Sally and they were right! The front area is for glasses and contacts. I needed both and am giving it a shot here over eyeglassesUSA. That experience was a little slow and cumbersome. For the important part - the script - I feel very confident and satisfied. See my review on the whole store. It took some guts to go in a Walmart. But I will do it again for that level of service.

With such disdain for a place I refer to as "America's greatest nightmare," why would I go to the eye doctor in a WalMart store rather than go to a small, local optometrist office? Well, because I have to go on Saturdays and it's pretty much the only place open. It's never convenient for me to take time off from my regular job, and I really need to be able to see. So, WalMart Vision Center it is. I justify my visits by reminding myself that the optometrist is a local resident who lives, works and plays here on the Alabama Coast, and so are the other employees. They're giving up their evenings and Saturdays to help me out. I can do this! I was actually very impressed with the optometrist, Dr. Sally Moore. She was very knowledgable and thorough. She lectured me a little on wearing my contacts too long (one pair for a year) and not taking them out when I sleep. She showed my photos and explained why this is very dangerous. I'm a believer now and thanks to her, I'll try to do better. The staff was equally friendly and helpful. I was in and out in about an hour. My total bill was $347 for two packs of contacts (12 lenses per pack), glasses and an eye exam. I didn't think this was bad at all considering my insurance does't cover vision. The only negative thing I can say about the experience is that since I got my new contacts, I can see 100 times better, and I now have twice as many wrinkles in my face, as well as cellulite on my thighs. On second thought, I don't recommend glasses or contacts after 40 at all. Just skip it.
