Stay away!! I almost never write reviews, and I was very hesitant to write this one. I also emailed Jonathan, the main manager in Robertsdale, multiple times and followed up repeatedly, but he never responded.
I’ve been a loyal Sweat Tire customer in Bay Minette for over 10 years and have spent thousands of dollars there with consistently good service. That history makes this summer’s experience with the Fairhope and Bay Minette locations especially disappointing.
In early July, I brought my son’s 4Runner to Fairhope for an A/C issue and was told it needed a new compressor. After paying one amount, I was immediately told there had been a “system error” and I actually owed more—bringing the total to over $1,000. The A/C still blew hot air, and a new thumping noise started before I even left the parking lot. Only then was I told the “new” compressor was bad and that a better one would now be ordered.
What followed was six weeks of back-and-forth between two locations, speaking with three different managers, and repeatedly having to leave work, drop off the car, pick it up, return it again, and re-explain the entire situation every time. The diagnosis changed multiple times—from compressor, to evaporator core, to hose assemblies—with every promised completion date missed.
By mid-August, after all those parts and all those delays, I was finally told the real issue was an A/C wire that hadn’t been connected properly. That simple connection is what ultimately fixed the problem.
Altogether, I spent almost $3,000 over six weeks for misdiagnoses, unnecessary parts, back-and-forth travel, and missed deadlines. My son had to leave for college without his vehicle, and my family was down cars for part of the summer because of the ongoing delays.
After a decade of loyalty, this was exhausting, frustrating, and deeply disappointing. I hope Sweat Tire takes steps to ensure no one else goes through an experience like this.

We’ve always received good work from the Fairhope location and pleased with the service. The reason for not giving 5 stars is because of the person that works the front office service counter. Last few times I’ve been in there this person doesn’t acknowledge your standing there or look at you. He just stares at the computer monitor. What ever happened to “hello, can I help you?” And then you pay the invoice amount and don’t even get a “thank you for your business”. Personal/business appreciation doesn’t exist here.
