I was so happy with McDaniel Automotive! My bus broke down on the road at night about 5mins from McDaniel, and I was so lucky because they got it up and running the next day! Great communication, efficient work, friendly team! Highly recommend!

My daughter and I were passing through the area when our right front brakes began making a horrible noise. Mr. McDaniel personally picked us up from 13 miles away when there was no room in the tow truck for both of us. Understanding our situation, he bumped us up in line to see about getting us back on the road; in fact, our car was already on the lift when we pulled into the lot.Within fifteen minutes, he and his team had diagnosed the problem (the brake shield had rusted off and bounced around, dislodging the balancing weights - one of which was lodged in the brake assembly, creating the grinding sound). He checked to make sure the car was safe to drive, put everything back together, and had us on our way.You hear horror stories about travelers being taken advantage of while in the road. Mr. McDaniel and his crew proved that there are still honest mechanics out there who live by the Golden Rule.

Best guys around! I broke down with a '94 F350 Duely stick shift, PLUS a 32' RV & Ricky and BJ came to my rescue. They were so helpful, friendly and professional. They went above and beyond to get me off hwy 92 in Centry and Hauled me all the way to Brewton. Great pricing and just outstanding service...and on a SUNDAY!

There was a knocking in our truck and we are from 6 hours away in Ga. We feared the worst. Stopped at mcdaniels snd within a minute he diagnosted a wire loosed , fixed it and didnt charge. We had no knocking amd we were back on the road again. We thought it was a motor rebuild. Thank you so much for helping us and being so nice. Poor service. I hope you never have car troubles and stumble upon this place. My transmission begin to slip coming from Pensacola. They were nice enough to give my family and I ride to a hotel. However, we were notified of how much the transmission was. I sent the deposit. Mind you, it took three days of me going back and forth to the bank to send the deposit because the wire transfer instructions were not clear AT ALL and the lady at McDaniel kept saying “she don’t know what else to do”. Unprofessional. Three days of going back and forth were wasted. Every few days for about three weeks after that, we would call for an update on the placement of a transmission. We kept getting the run around. It was very unethical and unprofessional of the lady at McDaniel to keep responding “I don’t know what else you want me to do” or “I don’t know” when I had sent thousands of dollars to get the problem fixed. They literally had no update and every excuse as to why my transmission was not being fixed. It was a complete WASTE OF TIME. Money is not an issue. When thousands of dollars have been transferred for a service, I expect it to be done in a timely manner OR have adequate updates on when that task should be completed. My family and I ended up just getting my towed back and taking it somewhere else. My truck had been sitting for a month with no services rendered. Just pray your car never gets stuck in this town and it has to go to this shop!! I’m sure you’ll never get your car back.

Thank you to this wonderful couple for helping us out as we drove from Alabama to Texas. Our check engine light came on in our diesel truck that was pulling our Airstream. I called 6 other shops that were booked out for weeks & would not even help us with diagnosing the code.
