If I could give this place 0 stars I would. They put the wrong SSN on the form they submitted when it was on my W2 form and they over charge for stocks. They didn't have my bfs form done when we went and submitted everything 3 weeks ago!!! We tried contacting them through email and phone ,but I rarely got the answers I was looking for. I will never come here again and I hope people understand that they are looking for quick cash while screwing you over.

I rely on this business for many tax related services. I was referred to Ms. Wu through a family friend and am pleased with the help I received! I look forward to doing business here again soon.

I was asking details of our family tax files for the IRS payment($1,200) on the phone, and the front desk lady who picks up our phone is not professional at all, she is unwilling to help us, hang up our phone once, did not wait for us to finish talking and interrupt us while we were trying to explain our situation. BUT I CAN NOT STAND is that she speaks to us in a Disdain way that almost feels like we are asking some non-sense question but in the end we just want to know details of our tax files because we are confused. I'm pissed off now!

Was quoted $100 but it ended up being $200 I have been going there for several years now and thought they did a decent job. But this year I came back to double check my tax return and the I ended having to pay $1400 than what I actually had to...how bad do you have to be? Will never go back again and do not recommend to anyone

There's not a lot of things I regret in life but going to Liberty Accounting & Tax Services is TOP of the list. I trusted this company since they did a good job filing my taxes last year. However this year will be the last year I use them. SERVICE: I was quoted $100 to do my taxes, 2 W2, bank interest and my stocks. When they called me to tell me to pick up my taxes, I was notified that I had to owe $100+ to NJ. First off, anyone who can do a quick Google search knows that if you're living in NY and working in NJ- you should get all your NJ taxes back. That was not the case until I explained it to them and they gave me some excuse about how I still had to pay? What? This made no sense. I know countless of other people who work in NJ and live in NY get all their NJ taxes back from CERTIFIED CPA PROFESSIONALS. (Note: there is probably only 1 CPA accountant here) Everyone else that is doing your taxes are graduates from low tier schools (Queens College, Baruch- all schools that I got a full academic ride too + pretty hefty stipend to attend- which I potentially declined) I told them to recheck because that's not the case and what do you know? I miraculously got back my NJ taxes! (So you're telling me you've been doing taxes for how long and don't know this yet I've only worked in NJ for 2 months and somehow knew this? O. KAY.) WHEN I PICKED MY TAXES: I was quoted $100 and when I came in they told me it was $250 in total! What?! First of all, how are you going to quote me $100 and then ask for $250? Which is 1.5X the amount? I questioned them that their estimate is way off and Vivian said "it happens" and "your stocks are what made it so expensive." I waited to speak with Ms. Wu who said that she'll give me $5 off. I proceeded to tell her that wasn't the case and I'm only going to pay an additional $20 since I deposited $80. She demanded the full $250 and I said I was going to take my taxes somewhere else. This action really ticked her off bc she aggressively handed me my taxes and said I wasn't going to get my $80 back. She said "you're getting so much back already that's nothing compared to your refund!" Okay, am I just your personal ATM, where if I have a lot of cash, you're gonna withdraw a larger amount? Really great scare tactic that you're pulling off there Ms. Wu. Too bad I wasn't born yesterday. Then she proceeded to say "that's like you eating lunch and then not paying for it." No it's not bc I said "that's like me paying $10 for lunch when I knew it was $10 and then when I'm done, I'm getting asked for another $50!" She was silent. Go figure. I held my composure until she started feeling uncomfortable and got nasty with me saying "take us to court then!" And proceeded to give me her business card. O KAY MS WU, ESQ. I've worked at prestigious law firms with attorneys who have far more class, respect than you, education and morals than you. I told her I had only $40 on me and that I will pay that but nothing more. She kept ranting about some nonsense and was super unprofessional in front of her entire staff. I told her i didn't have time for this and was going to be late to meet with my friend so I was going to pay the $40 and then come back next week. This really caught her attention and I asked her how much would I have to pay and she said "What? You can't do math?" SERIOUSLY. You are talking like this to a customer? What makes you think I'll come back here again to do my taxes? As a matter of fact, all the people I've recommended this place and have been loyal customers are no longer going to get their taxes done here! So Ms Wu ESQ. Not only did you lose 1 customer, but you've lost a entire clientele! I quickly paid the $40, told them I was going to come back next week and giv

FRAUD! FRAUD! STAY CLEAR! Went on Sunday 4/15/18 to sign and pick up my tax forms. I went in and gave my receipt to Molly Wang as she began to look for my folder. After a few mins she couldn't find it and Vivian Chen started helping. During the time they were looking for my folder Vivian kept asking if I asked someone to pick it up for me. (I am positive I didn't ask anyone to come pick it up.) Finally, they found it. Guess what?! My forms were already sign! By who? They don't know. I started arguing with them and demanding an answer! I asked don't you guys verify the person picking up the forms? Vivian continued to say "we do! We ask the customer to check if the name and social and address is correct." So I said "you gave my personal information to someone else to check without checking their ID?" Throughout this entire time there was no apology. Vivian continues to say "it's okay. No worries. The person only signed the form but didn't take them." You got to me kidding me?! They gave my personal information to a stranger to check and sign. Yet they think that is okay! They completely didn't get the facts that you don't need the actual forms to commit fraud anyone can remember 9 numbers! I am now hopping And extremely disappointed. I explained that to them in both English and Chinese. Vivian continues to say our customers are not that smart. They can't even remember their own name. They are not going to remember yours. So I told them sure, write down your social security number and name and see if I can remember it in a few mins. She then tell me she can't talk to me anymore because we are both angry. What does she have to be angry about? Her identity is not stolen! Finally I asked to speak to the manager Ruth Wu. They told me she's not in. So I asked when will you be in? Vivian replied "later." What does later mean? 7? 5? 2? So I left with no apology or explanation. On Monday (4/16) around 4:20 pm I called to speak to Ruth the manager. They told me she's not in. So I asked when she will be in? She said I don't know. So I asked if I can have her phone number so I can call her directly? She said no, she doesn't have her number. I would had been fine if she said it's company policy not to give out her number. But nooo! She lied and said no one at the office have her number. Clearly she doesn't want me to talk to her. She hung up on me. I called again and she hung up on my again! I waited until around 5 and called again. This time a guy picked up. Refused to tell me his name. I asked to speak to Ruth, he said she's currently with a customer. I explained to him I been hung up twice and been looking for her for two day. So if he can just interrupt her for a second to explain the situation to her so she can speak with me and offer me an apology or explanation. However, he told me no! And I am being unreasonable. There is an order of things. So he put me on hold. A few minutes later he got on the phone and said "his manager is too busy to talk to me on the phone, however, she explained the situation to me. So it turns out because I haven't gone back to sign my papers. She (Ruth) decided to sign my papers for me. So I got really upset! Who gave them the right to forge my signature? They continued to believe they did nothing wrong! I explained to him how that is fraud! He disagrees, so I told him I am going to record this conversation. Because this is unacceptable. So I have him recorded saying how someone at his company forged my signature without my permission! This business is seriously shady! The when I asked for a refund so I can do my taxes else where I was told all the Work had been done and refused to refund me. Stay clear of this shady establishment!

Be careful - this firm is the worst. It was my deepest regret that I ever used this firm. Their service is obviously horrible and they make frequent mistakes. My tax preparer is Ruth Wu and she made a mistake in my tax return in 2014 which resulted in a huge penalty (10,000+). It took me months (with my current tax firm's help) to find out what happened and I offered to pay again just to do a tax amendment. Guess what? They said it was not their mistake and they did not have time... and they simply hang up. This is far beyond reasonable let alone professional. They do not care about their customers. Let me repeat THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS. Besides the level of expertise is absolutely questionable. If you already hired them, my advice is to double check every line item to ensure that there is no mistake (because there will be). Spread the word of mouth to warn people NOT to trust them. I spent 10,000 to learn a lesson. I hope you do not have to.
