Melvin Roberts Park (Cedar Street Park) is a cool place to sit, relax, and enjoy nature, with beautiful swamp scenery and incredible buttressed trunks of baldcypress, pondcypress, and swamp tupelo trees—a reminder of old Baldwin County. It is a great place for basketball or tennis, with well-kept and lovely tennis courts, plus Pickleball lines painted on the double court. The park is a nice older ball park with plenty of parking, some shade, newer dugout roofs, and new bathrooms with A/C that are very nice and kept clean. It is a great place to stroll, collect nature specimens, and enjoy the outdoors.
This is a cool place to go sit & relax & enjoy nature. Just be cautious of who you take with you.. be sure they act right. My friend doesn’t get out much.. 😂

I've been to quite a few parks around South Baldwin County, and yet this little preserve is one of my favorites! The buttressed trunks of the baldcypress, pondcypress, and swamp tupelo trees are an incredible reminder of what Baldwin County looked like before development. Great place for basketball or tennis! The tennis courts were well kept and lovely. The restroom facilities were decent and kept clean.
