left for work, came back to 2 people tweaking on drugs. Door would not close fully and would open with a slight push. We complained to the lady at the counter and she said there is nothing she will do about it, not "there's nothing I can do" but "I will not do anything". Told us if we come back or have another complaint from this room she's calling GPD. We left here at around 2 pm to go to work and came back around 1 am, when we entered it was 2 dopeheads and the room was disgusting, stains everywhere and trash everywhere, smoke detector was ripped off wall too. Would not recommend staying here whatsoever, 1/5 is being generous.

The lobby was cleaned. The women that checked us in Samantha was so nice and very professional. Our King Deluxe room was ok the floors had not been mopped nor wepted properly, there were crumbs on the floors and one of the drawers had trash inside it. Our room smelled like pee. One chair looked like a dog chewed it a section was missing from chair. Also there are no irons and board

I was leery of Red Roof bc my “go to” RR has deteriorated so much and the reviews weren’t good. I don’t know what happened for other folks, but the Gadsden Red Roof was great! For under $75, I had a clean room with amazingly crisp bed linens, amenities, clean towels, & a huge tv with great reception. Hot coffee on my way out. No smoke to flare my asthma, no heavy deodorant-covering-smoke so common in budget hotels. I’ve found a new stop for my cross country trips!! (Lanette deserves a callout for her detailed cleaning!!)
Rooms: Clean. Smoke free. Working appliances. Non-moldy bathroom. No pet stains. No cigarette burns. Everything you want and nothing you don’t!!
Food and drinks: Lots of restaurants within walking distance

Noteworthy details: Great location to resturants and surrounding attractions.
Would love for you guys to add Hallmark channels to your cable service for us ladies who enjoy family friendly romance.
Also would be great too add Half & Half to the coffee bar.

Room was not as clean as I would have liked but no bedbugs detected, linens and towels looked worn, needed more pillows, no amenities, no complementary breakfast, no coffee maker but did have coffee in the lobby, seemed like a lot of stuff going on outside of building, noisy. On a positive note very hot water. Conveniently located. Staff friendly

Concierge was very nice, asked me what brought me and about myself. Rooms exactly as pictured, no bed bugs(I checked), matress was a little tough but I was dog tired. Floors and bathroom were clean, no suprises thankfully. Only negative a star for smelling like cigarettes. Other than that a flawless stay 🙌
Pool looked clean as a whistle and well maintained, but I came in without a swimsuit :(.

Obviously it's a motel. BUT! The prices are reasonably great. The owners are great. The maids are great. Shout out to Stephanie who is exceptionally wonderful and went far beyond what was expected or asked. She's trustworthy. Very kind and just a badass. Thank you for making my experience/stay here that much better.
Walkability: There's couple restaurants that are surrounding the building. It's on a river. Ducks galore that are friendly.
