When I walked through the door , people started smiling and greeting me heavily , there were even people in booths dealing with customers that stopped and greeted me. I mistake the greeting "hey there" for "mayor" , and I thought that maybe they thought that I was the mayor , "we do sort of favor " . So I stuck my chest out and embodied the role . I was the mayor to them and it felt so good until I got up to the counter and they knew my real name . Great people, outstanding service

Went to this location today to cash a check, and Shelby was the the biggest help. Her customer service was amazing, and she was very respectful from hello to have a nice day! She is a great asset to this location.

We went in to cash a check, drawn on this bank. We were there ten minutes before close. "Janet" seemed bothered to help us, checking her watch,as if we didn't know the time. She seemed even more annoyed that we didn't have an account there.She was unfriendly and uninviting during the entire transaction, not even counting the cash out to us.I would never use this bank or become a member, based on her attitude today.Please work on hiring friendlier employees, who seem to enjoy their job, and working with the public.No wonder your score for Google is so terrible!!

The tellers at this branch are unprofessional and have a complete disregard for customer service. I suppose Regions will hire anyone these days. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

I just want to commend Regions for always allowing a check to be cashed even without an account. I have visited this branch many times over the years and can honestly say that I never had a negative experience with the people working there. Always kind and patient. Great place to do any banking.

Several times I have gone inside to the lobby to take care of my banking business and the lines on the inside were pretty long, which made me spend more time than I had planned in the bank. In other words there was not enough tellers available to help the customers. Since there is not a Regions in my community, I have no choice but to with drive to Fultondale or to downtown Birmingham to handle my banking business.

Seeing all the bad reviews about this branch is not surprising based on my last experience. I went in to have a simple document notarized and was refused. First off, a notary is only verifying your identity and signature. They aren’t attesting to the contents of the document. At least that’s my understanding. I called ahead to make sure a notary was there and was not given any limitations to what could be notarized. I was immediately aggravated because the young man (bank employee) was scrutinizing my document, asking for additional documentation, checked my account, asking questions about the document and all I needed was my signature notarized. After all of that, he said he needed his manager to approve it. Well she (branch manager) didn’t approve it. She said something about them only notarizing in house loan documents. Why wasn’t I told that over the phone? Why wasn’t I told that when the manager asked what I needed assistance with while waiting in the lobby. Again, my document was a simple 1 page affidavit with my Regions Bank account balance. The man (bank employee) looked up my account so he knew the amount was accurate even though that wasn’t what he was verifying. I’m only mentioning that because it’s clear the document wasn’t fraudulent. But, again, he wasn’t attesting to what was in the document as a notary.He only needed to check my ID and watch me sign. I questioned the refusal and said I thought a notary only needed to verify identity and signature. He very rudely responded “my manager said I can’t do it, so I can’t do it.” He then gave me a referral to an outside notary. The employee’s rudeness bothered me more than the refusal. I simply went to another location and had it done. I will say the branch manager was nice, but I don’t think refusing to notarize my document was bank policy. And I think her explanation was BS. The bad reviews for this branch are for valid reasons. I probably won’t visit this location again. I will go out of my way to go to another branch and will leave Regions altogether once I clear some transactions. I would have NEVER had this problem at my credit union. I wish I had gotten the bank employee’s name. Do better Regions Bank!

I went through the drive-thru today to cash a check. They gave me back the check with a void stamp on it and told me I could not cash it. I asked why and was told I didn’t have enough funds in my account. I didn’t know why what I had in my account currently had to do with wanting to make a deposit. I asked why it mattered and was met with a “ have a good day”. I then realized the void sticker and the check hadn’t even been processed, incompetent much? So I drive around and walk inside. A lady that I believe was named Berana greets me, and I explain my situation. Her attitude quickly turns negative towards me. She then tells me in an annoyed voice that the only way I can cash it is to have it deposited in my account and it would be available tomorrow. The problem is that I need the money in cash today. There should be no reason They can’t do this as it’s not a large amount of money. Beranathen decides to start repeating herself over and over like a child. She tells me I can deposit it and have it tomorrow no less than 4 times and would not explain why this was so difficult for this bank to cash a simple check for an account holder. Anyways, after a few more minutes of this I called my fiancé while he was working to transfer money to my account so that the bank would just give me my money. It shouldn’t have to be this hard. If anybody would’ve just explained why all this was happening it would’ve been much easier, but no, I get sarcasm and nonchalant attitudes. I hope this Gardendale branch will start hiring incompetent people. I’m about ready to jump ship to Wells Fargo after eight years.

Horrible customer service. We deposited a large check in our account and we were told it was going to be available immediately. So we drive out of town to go make important purchases only to find out that they made a mistake and deposited it incorrectly and it will not be available until tomorrow. So we drove hours out of town for nothing. We called and they put us on hold for a very long time only to come back and tell us there was nothing they could do, they admitted to their mistake and told us just to wait until tomorrow.. The second it becomes available we are taking that money out and going to a bank that actually knows what they are doing.
