The campground offers a peaceful environment with plenty of shady pine trees, making it a cool retreat during warmer months. Visitors can enjoy beautiful trails, a creek, and stunning fall foliage that creates perfect opportunities for photography. The site is known for its warm community and inclusive atmosphere, making guests feel embraced and celebrated from the moment they arrive. Facilities include a nice pool, jacuzzi, and clubhouse, providing relaxing spots to enjoy being outdoors. The campground has well-shaded, good-sized sites, some quite large, and clean bathrooms and showers. Cabins are available for rent, though they are sparsely furnished and may have uncomfortable mattresses and chairs. The campground hosts various events on weekends, which enliven the grounds and foster a sense of community. Many visitors appreciate the friendly, kind residents, and the campground is considered an oasis from daily life, especially for those seeking a peaceful nature retreat or a safe, inclusive environment. While some describe the community as more of a gay retirement community with mostly permanent sites, others find it a charming, small-town-like environment. The campgroundās location also allows easy access to popular Florida beaches, making it a versatile destination. Overall, CampOut Alabama offers a relaxed, welcoming experience with a mix of outdoor beauty, social activities, and a friendly atmosphere that encourages visitors to enjoy the ride and return for more memorable stays.
The people are nice but think of it as more of a gay retirement community than a normal campground. It's almost all permanent occupant sites. Also extremely minimal hiking in the area.

Most expansive place I've stayed at yet, and you could cool beer in the pool. The people where friendly , the place was clean, and well kept. Being close to town if you need something it's only 3 miles. The WI-FI like most places was unusable bring your own, T- Mobile is a no go, I went to town to make a call.
