What I’ve noticed with most reviews among different ISP Providers is most people won’t hesitate to jump on the review section ONLY when they’ve had a bad experience. It’s a rare occasion that you will see a positive review because people are mentally trained to run to the Internet and blast a company but will not take a few minutes to give some positive experiences because when everything is fine, no one thinks to drop a good note. Review sections are just a dumping ground for people to vent and sometimes exaggerate their experience(s). I like to have my own experience as I’ve found no matter the reviews I’ve found positive experiences from stores, restaurants and ISP’s such as Mediacom where others want to give zero stars. I’m here to say I’ve rarely had an issue in the last 7 years with MediaCom’s service. There are outages that happen beyond the control of the company itself. Construction, Sewer services, electric companies, etc play into outages for all. Those that would give zero stars if they could make me say I would give Mediacom 10 Stars if I could!!

Worst internet service provider I have ever experienced. The internet at our house is unavailable 95% of the day everyday. They claim there are service outages, but once those outages are resolved we still do not have internet. All troubleshooting steps they recommend have failed. We have to use the hotspot on our cell phones in order to be able to use the internet at all, which is extremely inconvenient especially when working from home. If there is any other internet service provider available in your area, I would recommend going with them no matter the cost. Paying more and actually having internet sounds way better than what we are currently experiencing.

Not worth the time or money to mess with this service(can you even call it a service?). You can't watch a movie or play a game on your phone as the internet is sooooo bad, comes and goes all day every day! Moved here in April and it's almost August and there hasn't been one good day. Get it anywhere but here!! Mediacom I've read your reviews so please don't reply to contact you as this isn't what you want, apparently you're not interested in doing a thing about it!!

This is the worst provider that I have ever been forced to use. I don’t think I’ve gone a week without some type of issue. Service is terrible and nearly impossible to any resolution.

Unbelievably terrible internet. Yet they are running a monopoly and are the only choice. Have the nerve to charge a grip for inconsistent internet that’s impossible to work from home with. What am I even paying for? 3 days in a row now that I can’t even stream Netflix. And anytime you try to call it’s all excuses and nothing ever gets resolved. I couldn’t possibly be more unsatisfied with this company.

This is the worst internet I have ever used. Services always cut in and out, the people on the phone are useless and won’t resolves any issues. It’s so bad I can’t even connect online to play video games; it renders my Xbox useless!!! And there isn’t anything more I can do! As soon as another company comes into town I’m switching ASAP.

This is quite possibly the worst and most expensive int/cable provider I have used in 3 states. If it weren't for their fading monopoly of the Gulf Shores area coupled with Bally Sports buying the Atlanta sports rights and not having them on Youtube TV and the other streaming services they would be out of business.

I was told they just upgraded the entire system in our condo complex.it is now worse than ever!!!!no internet and the cable is all broken pictures, cuts out more than stays on.I took my modem in for an exchange thinking it was the issue, but it's still really bad service.

Terrible, terrible service. Internet is frequently down for an entire afternoon, and since I'm in an area right next to the airport, I'm in a cell service dead zone, as well, which means I have no options for backup internet. I've lost count of how many times I've had to attempt to work off of one bar of spotty 4G service because Mediacom has dropped the entire neighborhood's connection for the afternoon. Their estimated resolution times are a joke, too. Today, I was in the middle of a conference call when they took out my internet, and when I pulled up my account on my phone, it said it'd be resolved by 4pm. I know better than to count on that, though, because *every* *single* *time* they've done this, that 4pm gets pushed out to 6pm, which gets pushed out to 9pm, etc.If you're going to have a monopoly on internet service in an area, the decent thing to do is to at least have reliable up times. My AT&T mobile hotspot was more dependable when I was up in "up north" Michigan working off of a single cell tower 10 miles away than has been Mediacom. Waiting for these jokers to be bought out by Comcast or Spectrum.

I would vote 0 stars if I could. Never touch this company unless they are the only ISP in your area.(Even then I would consider seeing if you can go without internet haha) They constantly pass around your problem until someone eventually does something and it is always a terrible job. Everyone who comes to site is clueless every time. It is almost like they never take notes and share them about the current job at hand. I have been forced to use them for home and commercial internet. My home goes out (not too often, but often enough to be annoying) and the cost is not even close to the quality, they overprice some of the worst internet I have used. Not to mention ITS METERED!! It is full of people who hardly know how to do the job, and then the supervisors are always incredibly sketchy. I was ghosted by the area's head business side ISP rep. I had a contract and everything, then out of nowhere he never picks up my calls or messages. Turns out his phone works because I used another phone to get in contact! Gotcha :). Either way, they still billed us. Come take it from my hand in person, friends.

Honestly do not waste your time with this provider. For the past sixish months the internet has been hit or miss constantly not being up longer than 3 hours at a time, they send people to fix it and it works fine for maybe an additional 3 hours before it’s gone once again. Not to mention the outages with absolutely no information or sense of urgency to remedy. I wouldn’t have a problem with it if I didn’t have appointments online but the fact that I constantly connect and disconnect during calls is very troublesome

Me and my son had this service! They hike the bill up on you ! Service goes in and out . No credit for that ! Don't recommend ! Lady on the phone has gotten rude more then once I've delt with her !

0 star If I could. Constant outages unplanned and no resolution. Just out sorry. I work from home. Have missed very important meetings. Lost income. Will be changing service AS SOON AS I CAN. I have lived in 3rd world countries with better service

I was very excited when I heard Mediacom was burrying cable in our neighborhood. Once it was done, I signed up for internet. It was great!! A little pricey but it was worth the high speed since I have 4 children and they can bog us down with regular dsl. We enjoyed life with Mediacom for a while. Out of nowhere they more than DOUBLED our rate!!! And like 6 different charges per month for BS service fees. Our bill went to like 300$ a month out of nowhere. They raked in mega money from my family before my wife asked what I had done to make Mediacom so expensive. This is outrageous. While families are struggling in America, these mega telecom corps are raking in record setting profits and exploiting us. I have no choice but to cancel service. Outrageous greed is killing the country and is the reason we will have to cancel service with Mediacom. If they remedy this, I'll update my review.
