Our new favorite spot while the Hilton Sandestin is being renovated. Easy access to 28 miles of looped, paved bike trails. Bring your e-bikes and fishing gear. We saw gators and lots of birds. Very kid friendly pool, uncrowded beach, and the Gulf State Park is right outside you hotel room. Great place!Rooms: No microwaves in the rooms due to LEED. But, I have been in LEED properties that will loan a portable microwave on a cart as needed. They said no. Could be a jurisdiction issue.Walkability: Lots of bike racks and loaner bikes. We brought our own, but don't miss out on the hiking and biking in the park.Noteworthy details: They broadcast text weather notices to all guests all night. Be sure to opt out of texts at the front desk or put your phone on do not disturb.

Exceptional service. Respectful and supportive staff. Clean and comfortable rooms.Special recognition goes out to Nona, at the front, desk for going above and beyond during our stay. She was the best local concierge for her extensive information about the area from the Fort Morgan Ferry, suggesting to visit Fair Hope for local shopping and quaint downtown area, and following up with us to get our detailed feedback.Chose the Lodge specifically because it is in a State Park.Rooms: Clean and all rooms have a nice view if either the beach or Shelby Lakes.Nice walk-in shower with adjustable showerhead and spacious bathroom area with makeup mirror and hair dryer.Mini-Fridge and 2 cup pod coffee maker, small table with 1 chair, and TV with remote. All the patios have 2 Adirondack chairs to enjoy the views. There is a large patio on each floor off of the elevator lobby facing the beach to watch the sunsets.Nearby activities: State Park is just across the highway and is very user friendly.Food & drinks: The Perch is very clean with great views and a wide range of food options, brunch (Sat & Sun), buffet breakfast, mixed drinks from the bar and an extensive Bloody Mary bar. I saw at least 1 private room and multiple tables with seating for +6. A nice open patio overlooking the dunes and beach.Noteworthy details: The entire property is eco friendly and sustainable processes are incorporated to most everything from plumbing, beach restoration, even the parking lots are recycling water back into the dunes.

Beautiful lobby, welcoming staff and comfortable rooms. This hotel is super family friendly, right down to bunk bed options in several rooms. We took the "studio suite" and were happy the kids had a room with a door and their own TV and table. The pool is beautiful, Perch is delicious and the ocean front access is awesome!

Attended a multiple day conference. Room was clean. There was a charge for just about everything beyond a basic stay including a parking fee on top of what I consider a high cost room fee. Staff was extremely nice and helpful. Conference included breakfast for attendees but there was not any complimentary breakfast bar available for anyone not attending the conference. Plenty of places to sit outside and watch the bay. Also a nice swimming pool if you are into pools. Nice selection of channels on the room television but it takes a couple minutes for the TV to connect to the selected channel after which the picture is good. One extra blanket available in the room. Hotel is spread out in several buildings with interconnecting covered outside walkways. All the meeting rooms had water available. Not a bad place for a conference as long as the conference includes meals. Shopping is several miles away.

We stayed at this hotel for our valentines weekend Getaway. Our room was by the elevator next to the pool with the beach access bridge, right in front of it. There were so many kids running around and screaming, and everyone could see in the room if the balcony door was open. We heard the elevator the whole time. I wasn't even able to read a book in silence. We asked to move to another room and was told they were booked out for the weekend. However, the next day, 50 or so people checked out. I would have gladly moved room the next day. We plan to visit the Gulf Shores again for the summer. We typically stay at Hilton Hotels, but after this experience, we will take our business elsewhere.

Really nice. First time visiting. Amazingly location next to the pier. I thought the bunk beds are a nice addition for those with kids.Visited during the winter (Jan 19-20) for a meeting in Gulf Shores, so not much going on at the beach when it's 20 degrees and windy on the beach. But the views are amazingly from inside. Coffee and a window seat was nice.Looking forward to coming back when it is 80 degrees warmer and letting the kids play in the pool. The pool area and outside bar, grill, fire pit, ice cream shop, etc. look like a great place to spend the afternoon in the summer.Rooms: Bunk beds are a nice option.Nearby activities: Gulf State Park pier is next door. They share the same parking lot.Walkability: On the beach. Direct beach access.

I think Gulf Shores has a beautiful beach but I hate the high rise hotels. I like that it feels calmer here and that it's more natural than the rest of the beach front hotels. My only wish would be for better parking or cheaper valet.

Took a solo trip just after Christmas when all was quiet. The room was perfectly clean, opened to the Gulf. I could have moved in on the spot. The staff was amazing. I have never had such a perfect steak anywhere else. Looking forward to another trip.

It's a nice resort on the golf coast. We visited in really bad weather, so we could not enjoy the outdoor amenities.Rooms: Rooms were ice. Small compact refrigerator, no refrigerator, coffee maker and nice balcony.

Gorgeous views from the rooms, with great service and good amenities. Having easy access to the beach is wonderful, and the gym is definitely nice for a hotel gym. The pool is t heated, which was too bad since we came during the winter, but the patio setups are very nice for relaxing and watching the ocean.

Stayed for the Christmas holidays. The staff was super-friendly. We got extra pillows upon request. They also recommended places to eat during our stay. Their restaurants on site are very good too. There was a hot chocolate and cider bar and live music in the lobby (seasonal), which added to the cozy atmosphere. The hotel is family-friendly with easy parking and public restrooms on site. Would recommend and would stay again.
