id rather drive 45+ mins out of town to go to a post office that actually does what their job. the CHEAPEST shipping service this place has is 4 day shipping and it’s expensive as hell. well i run a BUSINESS and i shipped out my clients order with a receipt that said it would be delivered by 4/05 well it’s 4/06 and it hasn’t even left this state yet. my client lives all the way across the country. not to mention the old lady with brown hair was super rude. there needs to be a refund policy for people who PAY for a specific shipping time but get ripped off because people don’t wanna do their jobs. i will be calling in the morning because that’s just ridiculous. they’re lucky my client is super nice and understanding about it cause i’m not. i don’t play about my money or my business.

Haven't got my mail in two days. Expecting package, what's going on? Says they're open, but not answering phone.

Stellar service today from this station's Postmaster General. Had to drive up from over an hour away to get fingerprinted for a potential job and she was very friendly and professional while answering any questions and even offering some words of wisdom as advice.

Hi. I want to take time out to bring awareness to the fine people whom are running the Haleyville, AL USPS Post Office! (205) 486-2236 They have been consistently helpful with all my postal needs for the past 20 years. I don't mind waiting to buy stamps until I can make the short drive out there (15 miles) or to mail time sensitive items or even to just pick up the phone and call them with simple questions, like, "Hey. Can you please tell me if this is a Fedex tracking number?" regarding my walmart.com's e-mailed, return—parcel pickup printable return label. Wal Mart's "concierge" (800-wal-mart) doesn't tell you if their return—item parcel pickup service is going to be either USPS or FedEx – so that you can schedule a pickup from your home or office. With Wal Mart's e—commerce, you have to call either delivery service to find out for sure. After a long wait on hold with FedEx, I called this post office and they quickly helped me by troubleshooting who my pickup service could be. By exercising ingenuity and a little common courtesy, this post office was able to facilitate my walmart.com return parcel pickup from home, even though USPS wasn't handling the transaction, at all. Anytime I've ever called them with a question like this, they were most helpful and courteous. Not once did they get impatient or overwhelmed with me. They are willing to go the extra mile to help me, including making copies (one per visit) for me, if they are properly staffed and it's not during peak traffic hours. Their postal drop box is easily accessible if I can't make it inside to mail items. It's very clean and well kept. There's lots of mailbox P.O. box space and tables to do your official business, all properly lit. There is ample parking both in front of their office as well as alongside the building. Very user friendly. I couldn't ask for more. There are other points of interest in this location's neighborhood, as well, such as the power company, the gas co—op, two thrift stores, my bank, automotive repair shops, public library, the county fair, the public park, primary and specialist healthcare clinics, an ER and inpatient primary care and mental health care Hospital, tons of restaurants, various shopping plazas, lots of grocery stores, and even a marketplace Wal Mart. My hope is that they will always be around, because they do such a fine job, always! Thank you so much, Haleyville, AL USPS post office! I really appreciate having you around!
