Tates Supermarket is a good place to shop with excellent prices and impressive deals on brand names, bulk meat, frozen food, and canned goods. The shelves are well stocked and loaded. The employees are friendly and helpful. However, customer service at checkout is poor and needs correction. The store is clean and tidy, but the men's bathroom is neglected, not clean, and has broken fixtures with no hot water or towels. Despite this, the great buys and quality meats and produce make it well worth the drive for bulk shopping.
I call Tates this morning looking for White Acre Peas. Rhett took my number and called me as soon they came in he also held me a bag of peas and a tray of okra because I live over an hour away.This is the best customer service I've experienced in a very long time. I will be returning soon. Thank you Rhett

Great meat prices, but every day items were over priced. It's to be expected though in a small town.

We go here for the meat sales they have but they have everything that a grocery store has too!
