The website wasn't very helpful. I wish it had more info because I'm desperately looking for a hair stylist that is experienced with natural wavy/curly hair. Honestly, I'll probably look them up again because I'm very interested in visiting this place.

I had a truly awful experience the last time I went here. Connie has done my hair twice before and it turned out great both times, this time was a different experience. She told me how difficult I am a few times throughout my appointment, said my hair looked like wood grain while processing, and said oops and uh oh a few times while applying color to my hair. She made me sit outside in the heat while the color was processing and I received several chemical burns from the process. She wouldn't dry my hair due to Covid so I didn't know how absolutely horrible it was until I got home to dry it. I showed her a video of it and at least she told me she also did not like it, but told me she wouldn't be able to get to me until five days later to fix it. I decided not to let her fix it because I figured it would only end up worse, so I text her to let her know I would not be there and she text back "awwwww". I spent a fortune there and left what I felt like was a nice tip since I couldn't actually tell what my hair looked like while wet. This whole process also took 6 hours to complete, and my seven year old could have done a better job with a bottle of bleach and a spray bottle. If I could give negative five stars I certainly would. I just don't want anyone else left if the situation that I've been left in, especially since the burns have been very uncomfortable to deal with. I would think twice before coming here.

They were wonderful, making it a great visit even with the virus restrictions. Not to mention a very nice cut. Will go back.

Terri Hollister is an excellent hair stylist! I was so pleased with the way she cut and styled my hair today! She made me look younger! I am looking forward to my next appointment to get color and highlight!

Never been there, I've heard that they are reasonably priced, and locally owned. Though I have not been there, it has been said that the staff is friendly and helpful.

I'm about one year late writing this review....I read the reviews and decided to give twisted scissors a try.I emailed them late one evening, and the next morning they responded back to set my appointment. When I arrived they were all so friendly, and I felt so comfortable. I was unsure what I wanted, the beautician told me to trust her so I did and let me tell youthat I was so ssatisfied that I literally CRIED!!!...It was a complete new look.......I got complimented almost everywhere I went.unfortunately I haven't been financially able to go get my hair done there since.ive tried doing it myself .I'm going back tomorrow, and im so excited.....Michelle is doing it again.....yay!!!!! She is good and I can't wait for my new look again.......Twisted Scissors is the best salone ive found thats not only fantastic but so friendly and clean, I cant say enough positive things about them...its worth every penny you spend there....Kama salone don't have nothing on this place I can tell you tat much. .Have a nice Day....

Absolutely wonderful! Highly experienced in her craft and shows a true passion for what she does. Teaches you how to maintain/replicate the "just left the salon" look. Very impressed and will definitely be going back!

I purchased a Living Social deal for haircut, blow-dry and deep conditioning treatment. They use high-quality Aleda products and everyone in the salon is SO friendly - the gentleman at the front desk, especially! They were packed last Saturday when I went in, but my appointment was honored on time and the woman who cut my hair, Doris, was fantastic. My only minor complaint is that I requested an appointment with Mona after reading about her on Yelp, but no one mentioned that I would have someone different when I arrived. Nonetheless, Doris was great and it looked to me like everyone in there did a great job. I left completely satisfied and happy with my new do!

It was a super small space, but an awesome experience. I needed a cut and they scheduled me in quickly for one day after work. The deep conditioning treatment made my hair feel soft for a day or two but didn't last long. I mainly went there because they well Moroccan Oil products and I needed to get oil for my ends. I will probably go back for highlights in the fall.

I have been going to see Connie for obey a year now. And that is a real record for me. I love the friendly but professional service. She makes my hair look great every time I go see her. I first time I went she said just trust me and I did, and I have not regretted it.

I've always gone to cheap salons hoping to save a little money and get a decent haircut, but it never worked out. Today I decided to find a new salon and I saw Twisted Scissors had the highest rating in all of Hartselle.
When you first walk in, the reception area is beautiful and lively with dance music and brightly colored products everywhere! They ask you to fill out a little "about you" profile to get your name, address, ect. Having them call you by name and treat you like a real person is so refreshing! Your cut also comes with a relaxing shampoo, treatment, scalp massage (yum), and conditioner. For no extra charge they style your hair. I've never had my hair styled after a cut, i've always left with wet hair. Amanda took the time to assess my hair's condition, how I style it, and when it was last colored. I felt like a celebrity! She did exactly what I wanted and was super meticulous about getting it even. I will come back here more! A+++++
