To Whom It May Concern,
We have experienced several ongoing issues with the Shell Station located at 5964 AL-53, Toney, Alabama.
First, every time we attempt to use our Loyalty Rewards, the cashier removes both the discount savings and our loyalty account number. As a result, we are unable to receive our points or coupon benefits.
Today, we made a $25.00 purchase at this location (once again unable to use our rewards). Shortly afterward, while at my husband’s doctor’s appointment, our debit card was declined, and we were charged insufficient funds fees by both the doctor’s office and our bank. Upon reviewing our account, we discovered two additional $25.00 charges from the same Shell Station.
We immediately returned to the store to resolve the issue and showed the charges to the attendant on duty. Unfortunately, he became argumentative and caused a scene in front of other customers—some of whom offered to act as witnesses if we chose to contact the police. Once the owner heard that we intended to make a police report, he refunded the two duplicate charges. However, we are still out the two $25.00 insufficient fund fees caused by this error.
We are requesting reimbursement for those fees and that this matter be reviewed to prevent future issues with loyalty reward processing and duplicate transactions at this location.
