Hey just wanted to point out that this is my first time in 3 years that I decided to get a haircut from a barber my coworker recommended me to him the tall brother with the dreds if I could add some pics I'll show you how he pushed my hair line back if only I could recover my $26 for a unsatisfactory job.

The best! I ordered the meal for 4. So much food and everything was great! If I had one complaint it would be too much protein and not enough vegetables in the moo goo gai pan. Shrimp, beef, and chicken was fresh and high quality. Egg rolls are the best in town! Only place I will pick up from now on. Definitely pick up and not an ear on site place.

Found this place after trying to go to another Chinese restaurant across the street, but they were closed. I got on yelp to see reviews about this place and they were pretty good. I came late afternoon and luckily there was no line and only 2 ppl waiting. The egg rolls had a lot of great reviews but they were just OK to me. Definitely over hyped. The shrimp fried rice was pretty good. Had plenty of. But the star for me was the crispy shrimp with spicy pepper salt. The seasoning on it and the the green onion topping was delicious. But most of the seasoning is on the breading on the shell, so unless you're going to eat the shell, you have to peel shrimp. But either way, I would definitely get them again.

If you don't like egg rolls but you haven't had the egg rolls here, then you don't really know if you like egg rolls. These are fresh! It's said by those who know that these are as good as those of Birmingham's first Chinese restaurant, the legendary Joy Young's. I've been coming here for over forty years JUST for the egg rolls. 3 for $5.45.I would strongly suggest you stick to take out here. This place started as take out only with no a la carte menu. They just had dinners for groups as in Dinner for 2, 4 etc. Then it was known for the huge portions of mandarin style Chinese American and even more well know for the impatience and brusqueness of the owner-operator. Not much has changed as far as the service goes. You should know what you want and don't ask any questions. They don't like questions. They don't serve ice water. Don't ask. They added a large dining room several years ago, but it's not welcoming- and DO NOT use the restroom here. You have been warned. It really has all the charm of a hot dog stand. Today, (late October 2022) only 6 tables out of ~20 had the chairs on the floor. It's not really fair for me to review the food here as I don't like this style of Americanized "Chinese" food. It reminds me of what we thought Chinese cuisine was in the 1960's. What was that brand of chicken chow mein your mother could buy in a CAN and warm it up on the night she ran out of Hamburger Helper? Ok-That's probably an exaggeration, as any restaurant surviving this long has to be doing something right besides their sublime egg rolls.I really can't recommend anything other than the egg rolls here. I usually regret ordering anything other than the egg rolls. I haven't ordered the family dinner in many years. Why 5 stars? Because the egg rolls are as real as it gets! Come for the egg roll, but don't eat them here. Eating them in your car in parking lot does me just fine.

This is not the fanciest or hipster place but what it lacks it makes up for in food quantity and flavor, you will not be under feed here. Everything is great but the interaction of the staff with each other is why it gets the fifth star. We call it dinner and a show while standing in line. The steamed dumplings are a choice favorite and a extremely good bargain. With the exception of China town in Boston this is the place to eat...

I would commit crimes for their fried rice, egg rolls and sweet and sour sauce. You have to call ahead and place your order if you don't want to wait, as all their food is cooked to order. It's family owned and operated so have grace with them! They work hard!!

I've been going to this restaurant almost from it's beginning. The taste and quality of the food was superb, but in the past few years, both have declined drastically . You never know what you're going to get each time you go. I went in January and everything was great. Got 4 orders yesterday and all but one were awful. Shrimp fried rice was nothing but rice with a little soy sauce, 3 pieces of onion, almost no egg and steamed or boiled shrimp thrown on top. None of it seemed to have touched a wok. Moo Goo Gai Pan had what looked like Napa cabbage stalks that appeared to have been cooked all day. Absolutely soggy. Chicken was fresh and lots of it. Almost no seasoning. Broccoli and shrimp had over cooked broccolI. Also little seasoning. It's like nothing is cooked to order like before. You used to walk in and could hear the woks sizziling and the aroma was intoxicating. No more. Don't know if it's the original family and descendants or no, but it's definitely not the same. When I spend almost $60 I expect better. Must say shrimp egg foo young was pretty good but still not like before. Need better cooks. About to find a new place.

I had Mongolian beef and two egg rolls. The MB was 80% beef and 20% onions. Nothing wrong with that ratio. It tasted very fresh and I could not clean my plate there was so much food. The egg rolls are the freshest tasting I have had. It had pork and shrimp in it. When you bite into the roll, the cabbage is crispy and fresh, not soggy or greasy. Perfect egg roll. The duck sauce was a little weak but with these egg rolls, who needs it? Service was OK. At 1:30 on a weekday afternoon, they probably put out 25-30 take out orders while I was there for 35 minutes. The place was busy. This place does not get the press of the other place across the street but its a lot more food and the egg rolls are really good.

Year after year, This place is still amazing and the food is still as delicious as the first time I tasted it. This family owned restaurant has amazing food at the best prices! The portion are large. Just make sure you call your order in ahead of time so you don't have to wait in line.

Chop Suey Inn is solid Chinese food. I absolutely LOVE their eggs rolls!!! Hands down some of the best in town!!! Trust me. If you come here , be patient because depending on your visit , there will be a line. If possible, I advise placing a call in order. Thank me later. My recent visit was on a Sunday evening and it was crowded. It didn't take too long to order but it took a little longer to receive my order. My order consisted of 4 egg rolls , sesame chicken with fried rice and beef fun chow (spicy). Food was extremely fresh and the portions are ridiculously huge. Sooo much food- the dinner portions can feed 5000. Lol My only knock is how tight grip they are when you ask for certain sauces. Good grief, all this food requires more than 2 sauces. I think most Chinese places have this posture. Weird. They did leave out my steamed rice with my beef fun chow .... I didn't really want it anyways. This was my first time having beef fun chow - it was enjoyable/ flavorful. I loved the hot sauce! Gave the dish the extra kick I prefer whenever I eat Chinese food.
