Patriot Park is a well-maintained, popular community park offering a mix of recreational amenities. It is a lovely, great place with a big updated playground featuring good equipment and inclusive pieces like a teardrop swing with a safety piece. The play area has fake turf and rubber flooring to keep children safe. The park is very accessible, with paved, mostly level walkways, ramps, allotted handicapped parking, and wheelchair-friendly terrain including concrete and artificial grass. The entire area is very accessible for wheelchairs and is entirely surrounded by a metal fence, though a concerning gap behind the bathrooms has been noted. Amenities include clean, accessible restrooms in a separate building, a nice covered pavilion, and plenty of benches and picnic tables. There is a volleyball net with sand, a splash pad, and a paved walking path where three laps is about a mile and a half. The park is well-lit and open until late. It is dog-friendly with supplied bags and plenty of trash cans. The setting is a nice wide-open green space with beautiful trees and stonework, not typically crowded, making it easy to find a spot of your own. An ice cream shop is directly across the street. While generally safe and clean, visitors should be aware of the noted fence gap near the bathrooms.
