I just got my first long-haired kitten and realized there aren’t many people who specialize in cat grooming near me! However, after a bit of digging I found a couple of mentions of VCA Becker and I decided to give them a chance. Immediately I was impressed by Christina’s patience with all of my “new cat mom” questions regarding process, price, and her ability to quickly work me into a busy holiday schedule for my kitten’s first grooming. Let me just say the whole team here is welcoming, patient, and make you feel like your pet is their own. Drop off/Pickup was quick and hassle-free. I have to admit, my little cutie stole the show and I was thankful for the text updates and live photos during her “spa day”. Vanessa (groomer) and Anne made me feel comfortable leaving my little one, and returned her to me smelling fabulous and posh— complete with Christmas bows! The staff is knowledgeable and I am excited to continue my regular cat grooming services with VCA Becker!

Staff was super friendly. There were no handicapped parking spaces at this facility whatsoever. I had to push my daughters wheelchair in and carry the pet carrier from down at the end of the parking lot. The clinic was very clean. The exam room was super dark. Very dark. The tech was very nice and answered all my questions about vaccinations for my new pet first visit here. She took my new kitty back for shots and then the doctor came in and told me the results of his examination of my cat. I’ve never had a vet not examine my pet in front of me. It was alarming. I felt as if someone took my child who could not speak for themselves and examined them without me in attendance. The doc was young, nice, but I have to wait to know his ability to handle my pet or how his mannerisms are with my pet. I just wouldn’t recommend.

Want to give a huge shout out to VCA Becker animal hospital. We rescued a pup last night from a self service car wash. Took him in this morning and WOW ? the service was amazing. Thank you so much for taking care of our new furry family member ?. Oh and huge shout out to “Edward High” for his knowledge and financial recommendations for VCA. Thank you. It really helped us.

I have been taking my 2 cats here for years and they staff here does an excellent job making us feel welcome, answering all of our questions, and respecting a moderate approach to various ailments when an intensive route is not necessary.

I have had a very bad experience here at Becker, for 3 times, now.My cats, Flounder, and Henry, were there last week for checkups.Being in a doctor's office, they were nervous. The staff did nothing to calm them. Nothing at all! The tech was afraid of the cats, and could not give an exam. These 2 cats have never bitten anyone. The staff needed to handle the 2 cats, like an animal that is frightened. Instead, they suggested that I need to dope up my cat, so they could be man handled. When I went to another, kinder vet, Flounder was diagnosed with a growth on her neck, and a leg issue. The doctor there apparently wants all animals either sedated, or tied up. The new vet had no trouble with her.I have been here for 16 years. Flounder was here as a kitten. I guess that the staff is hired from a pet store, or something. They did not at any time exhibit any kind of caring attitude. It actually was worse than an uncaring attitude.Time for a new vet. Becker is Broken!

We had not had any luck in finding a vet with open appointments for our sick cat, Scarlet, on a Saturday morning. Then we called VCA Becker. When they learned that the cat was seriously sick, they said they would fit her in. The vet, Dr. Julia Ezell, determined through a physical examination that Scarlet was suffering from a bruised vertebra. She treated her with pain meds and antibiotics and gave us meds to continue daily treatment for a week. Becker is a well-run practice...although it's a couple of miles farther away than places we have been using, they will be getting our business from now on.

I loooove VCA Becker. Dr Ezell is our family vet, and I do not trust anyone else with our babies (1 dog, 2 cats). They treat your pet like their own. They remember you and your baby/babies.Want an experienced vet that cares about your pet and gives REAL advice, not selling or pushing anything? GO HERE.

We had two dogs stolen and were told they were being taken to this facility. We use a VCA in Maryland and we’re advised to have them run microchip after we went to police. The office manager said “we don’t wanna get involved, do this outside”. Stolen dogs and they didn’t wanna do the right thing saying it’s a civil matter.

I love VCA Becker! They have treated my cat so well in the year I've lived in Birmingham. They remember them every time I come in and take care of their needs perfectly.

The only thing I didn’t like is that they really don’t explain the hidden fees and charges. Once you sign up for the CareClub membership, you can’t really get out of it unless you want to pay a whole lot of money (possibly hundreds or thousands of dollars) upfront and if you don’t, they’ll most likely send your account to collections. I just wish they would explain the white and grey areas of the CareClub membership better because now I didn’t know how long I’ll be paying on this and I don’t even have to take my cat there that often. That’s almost $50/mo.
