Very disappointed! We bought a used 2007 Tahoe ltz. 1day off the lot started having issues. They promised they would fix the tapping noise. Never did After sitting in there personally owned shop and 2 others for weeks on In nothing was fixed. We called constantly to get up dates. We had to spend $1300 on struts. Not 2 weeks after buying the vehicle. Sense then it’s going on a year. The truck has been a complete nightmare! Lifters had issues the day we bought it. Constantly leaks oil due to re main seal. “Also something they said they would replace never did after sitting in their shop for weeks.” The breaks had to be replaced 2 months after buying. AC actuator went out. The automatic liftgate wouldn’t lift. The battery went bad 3 months into to owning it. The serpentine belt went bad and tensioner pulley. This place is a complete joke the warranty they sold us has covered nothing. This place is a complete joke!

Hoover Southtown is very attentive in what kind of car you would like and helping you find the most bang for your buck. They invest into their customers and have great customer service also, that’s why I think they have the best vehicle service out there.

My sister in law bought a car here not even a month ago. They withheld information about a wreck the vehicle was in. They informed her it had been in a “minor accident” and that the bumper had damage. After going to get a front end alignment she was informed that it couldn’t be aligned because of extensive damage from a previous wreck - clearly more than a “minor accident”. I would recommend walking around the country before I would recommend buying a car from here. Apparently there’s no “return” or “warranty” so once you buy a vehicle.. it’s your problem. Save your time and money.

I flew from Houston to Birmingham to purchase an Excursion based on details, pictures, and videos sent by Dylan. I couldn’t have been more pleased with my experience. Quite literally everything that was presented over phone and text was accurate upon arrival and test drive. I asked that all paperwork be prepared before I arrived to allow me to get on the road ASAP and it was done. A couple of quick signatures and an exchange of cash and I was on my way home. The test drive and examination of the vehicle took about an hour and the purchase about 5 minutes. Their reputation is well earned. Dylan didn’t try to hide anything and was transparent about the tiniest of flaws on the 18 year old truck, not that there were many. An honest and well respected used car dealer is a rare thing and Hoover Southtown is just that.

My family and I have been customers of Southtown Motors for 15+ years now. Without a doubt one of the best dealerships in the city. Extremely trustworthy staff, excellent service, and all the support or help you could need in buying a vehicle. They have also personally helped me with a couple of car situations, and I can not be more thankful.Purchasing a car can be very stressful and a big decision. It helps having people that treat you like family and supporting you through the process. I am thankful for these people, and cannot wait to do business again here.

I will ABSOLUTELY buy a car from them again. Dylan was awesome. We were 3 hours away, so I requested videos with sound of engines etc. and he sent right away. We started conversing about one car but when I told him what I was looking for he had another in mind, and it was perfect. We showed up, test drove and were out the door with the car in less than 30 minutes. BEST CAR BUYING EXPERIENCE EVER. Thank you!

Purchased 2007 Suburban LTZ 4x4 on Jan. 2020 w/ 165000 mi. for $10,000. Salesman talked me into purchasing extended warranty for an extra $1,800 assuring me if I had any problems with the vehicle to bring it back to them for their mechanic to fix. I noticed the vehicle had issues soon after purchase. The vehicle consumes 4 qts out of 6 qts between oil change (every 3,000 mi.). Also has a bad miss and starter issues from purchase date. Fuel pump & battery had to be replaced by Hoover Southtown the 1st week I bought the vehicle. My final straw was when my headlights, running-boards, lift gate and window controls stopped working in unison. All in Sept. of 2022 with 182500 mi on the SUV. I took it to Hoover Southtown Motors mechanic to be diagnosed (63 day's later and for $350. No work done) with ALL of the Main Seals and Gaskets leaking on the 6.0 Engine. Heater Hoses leaking coolant, Water Pump gaskets leaking, Suspension issues, and all above issues stated. I was given a $2,500 labor cost with out any parts. Was told warranty does not cover the issues. I`m very disappointed with a lot of costly issues needing repaired. I considered trading it in to Hoover Southtown but the same salesman told me the SUV isn`t worth but $3,000 and he`ll try to help me out by giving $4,500 trade-in value on a different vehicle. RIDICULOUS

I recently drove from Atlanta to visit Hoover Southdown to check out a very rare SUV for my family. While the vehicle didn't meet all of our expectations (no fault of the dealership) my family had a great experience. Dylan is very trustworthy and knowledgeable. We highly recommend the team at Hoover Southtown. We'll definitely shop there again.

Absolutely terrible customer service. I had a friend of mine but a car from them and the same day he bought it the motor started stalling and all four rotors were bad. He took the car back three days later and told the salesman and the repair technician what was wrong with car. Over a month later and no one knows what is wrong with the car he purchased and now he can’t even get anyone on the phone to give him updates on his vehicle. On top of all of this they still haven’t taken over the loan on the vehicle he traded in, so he’s paid over a grand in vehicle payments and hasn’t had a vehicle to even drive. I definitely would never do business with this dealership!
