My recent stay at the Hyatt Place left me with mixed feelings. While the brand is generally associated with quality and comfort, the particular property I visited seemed to have seen better days and is in need of refurbishment. It was evident that the hotel could benefit from a fresh coat of paint and updated decor to match the contemporary style expected from the Hyatt brand. The room, although clean, felt a bit tired. The furniture, including the desk and chair, showed signs of aging, and the overall color scheme seemed faded. The bedding and mattress were showing signs of considerable age, had a noticeably worn and rough surface. Finally the hotel rate is high due to lack of competition in the area.

Always a warm greeting and a processional attitude. If you are not sure why you should pay a little more, go stay in a different hotel and YOU WILL KNOW why the Hyatt is Americas choice for clean sleep.

Checked in today 11/23. Drove all the way from SC to see family I hadn't seen in 2 years. First room had bugs. Second room was smelly and filthy. What choice did I have but to stay here for two nights nothing is available. Front desk person didn't even apologize or say sorry about the situation. Just sent me to the next disgusting room. Comforter had a stain asked for a new one from front desk they didn't even offer to bring it up said we had to come get it. You think with the situation in the first room you would have tried to make it right but no they really don't care. Carpets stains. Greasy stains on doors, dusty. Don't stay here.

This place is amazing!! I can’t tell you how special I feel every morning. Rosie and Brianne are truly a light of the world and offer care that is authentic and unique to each guests needs. I’m in the service industry and these types of employees are the reason customers, like me will keep coming back. Aside from the free breakfast of course! ???Rooms: Clean and comfortableNoteworthy details: Brianne and Rosie are everything and made my tough week more bearable. Thank you from the center of my soul!

I made reservations in June for this property. We were going to be a late check in, so I called to notify the property. They responded that it was no problem for late check in. When we arrived, I was given a room with one king bed and a pull out sofa rather than a room with 2 double beds and a pull out sofa. My confirmation email was for 2 beds and a pull out. The property informed me that they had no other rooms to correct their error and we were not able to accommodate my family’s needs despite the reservation made and confirmed 3 months prior. No manager was available to assist with the problem.

Checked in about 10:00 pm. That's pretty late for my two year old and my 7 week old, so we were pretty anxious to get them to bed quickly.Got to the room to find standing water from a toilet leak in the bathroom. Can we get a different room? No.Can you book us at another Hyatt site? No.Can we get our money back? No.Can you call your manager for me? No.Anything you can do at all? No.Do you care? No.So now we're waiting in the middle of the night for maintenance to try to fix it while my children are crying in the lobby.I don't believe for even a second that nothing could be done to help us, but what sucks most is how little the front desk cared to try or even pretend to try. This is so far beneath the standard of service that should be the base minimum for a business in this industry.Michael GriderPS - the maintenance guys were great. It's the face of this place that made a bad situation much much worse.

This is a dog hotel. By that I mean they allow dogs. Not just brat poodles but slobbering pit bulls and other dogs three and four foot high. They allowed them in the breakfast area which I passed on the free breakfast considering the circumstances. The room had outdated a/c and small bathrooms. Barely could get in the bathroom and shut the door. The bed was worn out and sagged in the middle probably from overweight occupants after years of use.The employee were friendly but that was not enough to overcome the shortcomings of the property. Cant really believe Hyatt lets this property stay in their brand. This property is also very noisy because of being located on John Hawkins Parkway. It has cheap windows. We heard sirens from fire and Police four or five times during the night trying to sleep. I could not recommend this place in good conscious!!Noteworthy details: to many nasty dogs and the tv cable sucks. They let people smoke in front of the lobby so you get a face full of smoke going to your car first thing in the morning. Start your morning with a face full of second hand smoke and dog slobber. Really this is 2023 not 1963.

We had searched for a room and I ran across this place. Didn't know what to expect, but I tell you me and my husband loved staying here. From the time I walked in, the staff was great. The three ladies were very helpful and kind with everything we needed. They offer a list of restaurants that you can order from. We will definitely stay here again. It's a very nice quiet and safe location.Food & drinks: They do have a bar, and they said the restaurant part will be reopening soon.

Front desk person Lexi was very helpful and professional.Nearby activities: The Movie theater was across from my hotel.

7/1/23. At almost $500, for 2 nights, my expectations might have been a little higher than they were met. The room itself, verses the photos, did not compare. The rooms could use some renovating, and our bathroom had mildew around the door, not to mention the smell that accompanied it. However, I was willing to overlook some imperfections and continue to enjoy my stay here, but the young lady with the blond braids that works the front desk, on this evening, was very rude. She seemed to be more involved in her cell phone, and my need for something was an inconvenience to her…as she felt the need to remind me I had already been down to the desk earlier that evening. Her response soured my desire to approach the front desk for anything, bc of her distasteful attitude and problematic energy. The Hyatt should definitely aim higher when hiring someone to be the face of their facility, bc they are your customers first impression. The two young ladies that were here last night(6/30), displayed excellent customer service and a willingness to make your stay as comfortable as possible, their professionalism and courtesy was highly appreciated. Overall, customer service aside, I’d rate the hotel 2/3 out of 5, bc of the need for renovations and pricing. I can’t base everyone’s performance off of the shortcomings of one inadequately rude woman, bc everyone else was extremely friendly and pleasant.
