Moss Rock Preserve is a beautiful natural area perfect for outdoor activities and family visits. It features a variety of trails with different difficulties, offering scenic views and peaceful surroundings. Visitors can enjoy exploring the large boulder field, which attracts both casual visitors and free climbers, as well as a sandstone glade with a cascading creek ideal for photography. The preserve has hidden creeks where families can dip their feet to cool off during hot days, and small waterfalls add to the landscape's beauty. The trails on the less traveled north side showcase diverse plant life, including prickly pear, violets, Indian pinks, milkweeds, and more, reflecting an untouched plant community. The preserve also offers opportunities for adventure, with plenty of scenic spots, rocky formations, and streams for children to play in. While some trails are not clearly marked, Moss Rock remains a favorite for those seeking nature, tranquility, and a chance to discover unique flora and fauna.
Took the family out for much needed walk. It was hot but the trees provide more than enough shade. There are huge boulders to take pictures on and hidden creeks to dip your feet in to cool off.

Great place to take the family for hiking. There's a couple of small waterfalls as well for some nice landscape photography.
