I have been very disappointed in the service provided and not provided by Amerigas. This company is not interested in customer service, their entire customer service system is off-shore and has handled every call with the same page turning efficiency, I might as well be talking to a computer with an unrecognizable accent.
The first scheduled delivery took 21 days. The follow-on two Emergency/Urgent deliveries were cancelled without an attempt to deliver. I have been here in person (time off work). Both times I have received a text message that it was not completed due to a detected leak though an Amerigas employee never graced my property with their presence. After the first non-delivery, I had a gas company repair two leaks and test the system. It appears the delivery system wants to auto-cancel rather than deliver or the delivery drivers have a plan of their own.
Regardless, I have spent at least 4 hours on the phone with non-native English speakers who are trying very hard but lack the contextual understanding of American English and the processes that they are scheduling for.
Shame on Amerigas! The employees I have dealt with have been courteous and tried to be helpful but the system they are given appears to be very prescribed and lacks the flexibility for representatives to assist customers other than to shuffle them through the system.
Rest assured, if you are a customer, you will be asked to verify your account number, address, name, email address, and phone number by every person that you talk to (it is mind numbingly frustrating). Customer Service Representatives will be more interested in verifying that information than they are understanding or correcting your problem. Unfortunately, they don't know better.
Know that you cannot contact a local customer service rep or visit an office where an American (Ameri...huh?) can assist you. I highly recommend you find another gas provider....I WILL.

My edited review is stay away from them! I would like to give them zero stars. They were great when they were Heritage Propane, but they were bought out by AmeriGas. AWFUL! Let us run out of propane in the winter although they had said they wouldn't. You can no longer talk to the local office. After MANY years I changed over to the local company, All Gas. Happy so far!

Poor customer service. Cancelled delivery for erroneous reasons, continued to get hung up on by customer service representatives. I have a cold house, no heat, no hot water, and there is nobody is able to help me. It is really difficult when you can't reach anyone in the local area and the call center has really no interface with the service providers.

I called to get emergency gas delivered to my ailing uncle. I called and placed an order on Saturday. His gas was 100% consumed the day before. BTW, we were in winter stormI had to pay in advance to place the order, I also had to pay and expedite fee for delivery within 24 hours. It's Monday, 2 days later, and he still doesn't have gas.I called customer service and they said because I wasn't on the account, they couldn't provide any delivery details. I asked "then why I was able to order and pay over $1250 for gas and expedited delivery"? She said, you can pay, I just can give details.I tried explaining that my uncle is 84 years old and it's been cold in his house for 4 days. I was told "Sorry, we can't help".I hope Amerigas enjoys the money they are saving by outsourcing their customer service to the Philippines. This makes it soooo much easier for everyone, except the customer. We will be moving our business.

My parents ran out of propane on 1/15/24. I called to see if they could do an emergency delivery, yes they could for a price of $300. Due to the fact that they're on a budget they couldn't afford it at that moment, so they said the delivery date would be 1/18/24. Still no delivery on the 19th. They're heating with space heaters, which is barely keeping warm.

I do not understand why you cannot speak to a local person in your area. You cannot even check to see if they are currently delivering. Customer Service is awful. I was going to pay for emergency delivery service but if they are not working at all that would be a waste of money that I can never get back. Everything is out sourced. Tried to buy my tank and never could get information about that. They will not even service Gas Logs you purchased from them.

When calling about a charge or a bill, more than likely and more times than not, I will get a representative that does not speak clear English. After multiple attempts and return phone calls to the company, I finally get someone clear enough to understand. This is very aggravating.

This is the worst company I’ve ever encountered. Every appointment that we’ve made has been pushed back and rescheduled for a later date without any communication. We’ve been told the cost would be one price and then we have received a bill for 2x the amount we were told the service would be. The communication is absolutely horrible. Not worth the time, money, or the headache.
