December 2023 by Nyk
The best part about my experience with Aspen dental so far is the lady that is working at the front desk the morning of December 1st, i dont know her name. She's been incredibly sweet to me throughout every visit. Very professional, but also very welcoming and comforting environment.

Beware don’t go here!! The staff is very rude and unprofessional! Even after making an appointment and confirming days before, they will forget don’t waste your time happened several times. I gave one star because the dentist is good if you ever make it to actually see him. The teeth cleaning was very painful and the hygienist and staff seemed very inexperienced and at times nobody knew what was going on! Just go somewhere else trust me!

I was in extreme pain & the dentist had the worst bedside manner I’ve encountered in a long time. It was more about blaming me than helping me. This place is nothing more than an assembly line. If it’s something easy, I think you’d be treated fine. (The staff was great). But if you have something challenging, forget it! The dentist had no compassion at all.

This was my first time at Aspen Dental and I was very pleasantly surprised. Everyone was very kind and friendly, and their work was exceptional. I am telling everyone I know what a great place this is.

They are always so nice and helpful. It’s great knowing if I have an issue with my teeth I can just walk in and they usually have them fixed within a couple of hours. They are a life saver.

Time and money waisted! Don't get me wrong they are very sweet people and they really tried.but I have no gumline due to my car accident and years of denture wearing before. I broke my dentures that fit well and went to aspen to do a new pair. they had a hard time getting dentures to fit. After months of trying they then referred me somewhere else. They said they would refund my money but still waiting

Came for initial consultation for new patient because I had very bad tooth ache from a broken tooth, they did x-rays .. told me all this stuff was wrong with my teeth .. and that I had to get surgical procedure and more implants etc.. I came here because my tooth pain and cleaning and plus I am 7 months pregnant they would not give me any pain meds , they didn’t clean my teeth but told me I needed a periodontal cleaning switch cost 2 thousands and wasn’t covered by my insurance..so I came here for no reason and I’m still in major pain while being pregnant !! The least they could’ve done was giving me meds until I was able to get my treatment.. not to mention the bathroom lights are out and been out for more than 2 weeks ! I wouldn’t recommend them..

The 2 Stars is not for the Dental Assistants...it's for the dentist.Made an appointment to have a tooth ground down as it broke and was catching my tongue. Showed up for the appointment and met various people. They were absolutely wonderful people. and it should be known that the 2 stars is not for the people...mostly. I met the dentist. He seemed nice and caring. I showed him what I wanted done..He stated that we would talk about that in a minute. He commenced to tell me about dentures, implants and removals. he asked me what hurt and I told him absolutely nothing. I chew well and have no problems EXCEPT the tooth I need ground down. Then he said he wouldn't do it. He started telling me it needed to come out. I told him I just need the spike on my tooth ground down. He talked over me and told me that a removal is best.He told his assistant to make me a referral to have the tooth extracted. Again, I told him all I wanted was the spike on the tooth ground down. Again, he talked over me and told he would get wax and cover it up. Then, one last try, I asked him to grind down the spike. He shook my hand telling me that "IF I HAVE A NEED FOR THEIR SERVICES, IF I HAVE A PROBLEM, IF I HAVE A DENTAL ISSUE PLEASE BY ALL MEANS MAKE AN APPOINTMENT AND WE WILL HELP YOU IN ANY WAY WE CAN". (This is what the two stars are for)All he had to was turn on a drill squirt some water and grind away then vacuum. No Novocain needed. Nope. Grabbed a cup of wax stuck a piece on the tooth and walked out of the cubical. The assistant handed me a referral and copies of my X-rays. If he had ground down the tooth I would have been willing to be a permanent patient seeing my teeth won't last forever. OH Well.

Shady business practices…. I scheduled an appointment to get my teeth cleaned, x-rayed, etc. First they did a full head scan x-ray, no big deal. Then they did the focused x-ray with the “horse bit” that make you gag and eyes water. But they had three different shapes, in three different colors. After about 8-10 more x-rays they were finally finished. I was brought back to the exam room and fully expected to start the teeth cleaning process. I was told by the assistant that the dentist would come in and take a look. No big deal, all seems good. The dentist came in and was respectful. Second thing I found odd after the number of x-rays, was he asked if I still had a retainer after braces. I haven’t had braces in 16 years so I said “No”. He then told me that a retainer would prevent my teeth from shifting. Obviously that’s what it was designed for, but he hadn’t even looked at my teeth yet. He then proceeds to inspect my teeth gums and review my scans. All looks good. I’m expecting them to lay me back and start cleaning. But I’m told that the hygienist is going to come in and look, and then I will need to meet with the Financial Manager to discuss payment. I have good dental insurance so this is the third thing that seems off. The hygienist comes in and says I have mild gingivitis (which most people do) and that I would need some antibiotic wash/procedure to help with that. After she leaves I’m escorted to the Financial Manager’s desk where she tells me that I will need to spend $232 to have my gingivitis taken care if prior to my teeth being cleaned. The total procedure is actually $767 with insurance covering most of it. I ask if I can just get my teeth cleaned and not do the procedure, and am told “No”. The itemized statement shows that a typical cleaning would be no cost to me, but includes the gingivitis’s mitigation procedure, an Oral-B electric toothbrush, and other non-essential items that I would not need. I said I would have to think about it and left. I’m sure I will get a bill in the mail for the x-rays and whatever else they want to charge me with. All in all, nice people, shady company. I would recommend no one go to this dentist. Aspen dental has also been in courts across the country for their practices. Do what I didn’t, research prior to wasting your time
