Bolt is unbelievable! From the first phone call with Amanda to the completion of my move, I couldn't possibly have been more pleased. Aiden, John and Thomas were outstanding. Booked a move with them. Called to get my mother in law to get payment info. She tried to call and pay….. they were already on the phone booking someone else. I could see if it took me a long time….. but I even have in text where he says he sold my booking 30 seconds after we hung up. Absolutely unprofessional. Do not recommend

Unfortunately, I have very little positive to say about Bolt. We hired them in December of 2022 to move us from Birmingham to Huntsville. We were quoted $2,500 for the move. In total, we paid over $5,000. During the move, they somehow inflicted the damage as follows. Our refrigerator was dropped off Bolt’s moving truck and damaged beyond repair, requiring a replacement. They destroyed an antique family heirloom grandfather clock by smashing two of the three weights nearly flat, breaking the glass on the clock face, and bending the pendulum almost in half. This clock manufacturer went out of business decades ago and I’m uncertain if it can be fixed. They damaged an antique family heirloom piano by breaking one side of the music stand and putting deep gouges in the finish. Furthermore, they somehow “lost” half the legs to our bed frame. I expect the usual casualties when moving, but I paid a not inconsiderable amount extra to move the clock and piano and for the money I expected competency and care, but received neither. For the damage, I received $250 in compensation.I rarely speak negatively publicly about companies I do business with and prefer to give everyone the benefit of the doubt, but this damage is bordering on unforgivable and egregious. How anyone in this industry is capable of providing such poor service at twice the quoted price and remain in business is frankly beyond me.I would encourage anyone considering Bolt for moving services to explore alternatives. I’m sure there are more people than not that have received excellent service and can truthfully leave a glowing review, but I cannot count myself as among them. If you have precious family pieces that you would avoid being damaged/destroyed, and then insulted by their offer of recompense, look elsewhere.
