Very cool store. Almost like a museum with much of history and art. Make it a nice stop when walking around huntsville!

Visited couple years ago. Picked out items to purchase. Around $200. Then was told to get out of the store that me & my wheelchair wasn't welcomed. They even had a sign posted saying no wheelchairs. Ridiculous & rude. Contacted a lawyer & local news. Manager was fired & I never received an apology. So they suck until I do.

Harrison Brothers is one of my favorite places to stop by on any given day in Downtown Huntsville. Not only do they have great gifts and local art, they have wonderful Historic exhibits with beautiful displays. Harrison Brothers is a MUST SEE when visiting Huntsville.

SUPER cool place! Old cash register still works and the store is full of goodies! Definitely worth stopping in if you’re in the area!

I was looking for a knickknacky type of store, as I always find the best postcards to send to my grandchildren when I travel at one. I came across Harrison Brothers Hardware and although I had my doubts, I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in. I was immediately greeted by several Hello's and the displays across the store drew me in. I looked at several items I had no idea I'd be interested in, and finally made my way to the counter. Of course I found four wonderful and unique postcards so everyone got a different one. I chatted for a bit, then they rang up my order on the two foot tall, hundred plus year old cash register( maybe?) , it popped open and they dispensed my change. When back in Huntsville, I will go back.

The wife and I stopped in here to do the scavenger hunt! It took us about 30 minutes to complete. Harrison Brothers is more than a scavenger hunt though. They have an array of things to purchase and/or just look at from modern to vintage. 10/10 would recommend and will go back for sure!

Great historic place to visit. Found some really nice locally made scented candles. Wish they had more antiques, but have a lot of locally made products and souvenirs. Bit pricey but it supports a historical location and local artists so its worth it in the end.

This place is a Huntsville staple. You can get some nice gifts here, both Huntsville related or just general gifts. It also sort of doubles as a museum. They've got a lot of stuff from the original store on display, which is neat to see.

The oldest Hardware store in Alabama. Staff super friendly. They kept a lot of the old decor and things so it looks like an old school shop. Good for souvenirs and products from local artists

The building and artifacts displayed are very interesting. We were expecting something unique. We enjoyed the building and old displays. Merchandise for sale is typical gift shop merchandise.

The "from the business" information here pretty much sums Harrison Brothers Hardware up: "Today, we are more of a gift shop and art gallery that features local artwork and handmade merchandise." We visited yesterday on a rare day off and because I haven't been to HBH in decades. I thought I would come across something I didn't know I needed, which didn't happen. I liked their t-shirts, and stoneware/pottery. My sister likes the socks they carry. They also have locally written books in a tightly curated display. A small selection of locally made jewelry items, cutting boards, and other artwork. The staff were friendly and helpful, and, as others noted, there is no public restroom. They are not 100% volunteer staffed anymore, at least one person is on the payroll. The safe in the back is cool to see and they do have several displays of antique items on the floor as well as the area near the ceiling.

Very interesting to visit. They have some of the original items from the past on the top shelves. There are a lot of items for sale for gifts or home.

We stopped by during a weekend trip to Madison County. I wish I had brought my son here when he was young because the marbles available there are amazing. The Huntsville preservation Society was downstairs in an area where they accept donations from the past. People bring them everything from nails and hinges and pieces of tile to whole pieces of furniture and fireplace surrounds. They use the profits to benefit the preservation of history in Huntsville. This is a neat place to see the old fashion hardware store look while having a chance to buy a sorts of interesting souvenirs in every price range.
