I was rear ended in June, and the other party’s insurance company recommended Joe Hudson Collision Center. I chose this particular location due to its proximity to my workplace.I dropped off my car for scheduled repairs August 9th with a tentative pickup date scheduled for the next week, August 16th. On the 16th, I initiated communication to determine when my vehicle would be repaired. I was told that there was more damage than originally assessed, and (due to the wait time to receive parts), it would be another week. I called again the following week on the 22nd to see what day and time my vehicle would be available.(Let’s take a moment to point out I am the one initiating communication for every interaction. Best business practice would be to communicate as soon as these delays arise to set customer expectations.)During that phone call (August 22) I was told it was in the painting stage and would be ready “definitely” by Friday, August 25th.I received a call on the afternoon of 25th (after I arranged transportation to retrieve my vehicle) informing me that an incorrect part was ordered and, between getting the new part installed and calibrated, I would be able to pick my car up Monday the 28th.I (finally) picked up the car on the 28th. The car was backed in to a parking spot, and one of the employees took me out to my vehicle. He stood at the rear passenger side of the car where the damage occurred. The bumper (which bore the brunt of the damage) looked good, so I did not (very, very regrettably) completely assess the rear of the car. When I got home that evening, I realized they completely left off repairing the trunk hatch, and the damage was still clearly visible. This was after 5:00, so I left a voicemail saying I needed someone to call me back as soon as possible. After thinking back on the lack of communication I had experienced, I decided it would be best to visit the shop the next morning.I arrived around 9 am, Tuesday, August 29th. I showed an associate the damage along with a photo of the vehicle taken the day of the accident. He told me his manager was in a meeting but would call me later that day. I never received a phone call. I called again today at 9 am to check on the status of the situation and next steps. The manager was (conveniently) gone to get parts but would definitely call me later today, the 30th. Well, today’s business day has come and gone, and I never received that phone call.I understand delays. What I don’t understand or appreciate is the utter lack of communication. One of the core aspects of customer service is acknowledgement. Waiting to tell me I can’t pick up my car until the day of (on two separate occasions) is unacceptable. That’s something that should be communicated with the vehicle’s owner as soon as possible. Since I have yet to receive any communication from management regarding the unfinished repairs, despite requesting twice, I’m left to assume the worst: they are avoiding me.

They gave me my quote really fast and wasn't upset that I decided to not repair it. Even let me keep the car there a few extra days before I could get a tow truck pick it up.

PLEASE!!!!! select another collision center to do your work. These people will NOT get your repair done in their suggested timeline, it will weeks later. Your car will sit and sit in their lot. I had a very minor accident. My car was very driveable. I could have been driving my car instead of it just sitting. I was told it was being worked on while it wasn't. I was told we're just waiting on a small part. Customer service sucks, they will literally tell you anything to just get off the phone and it will most likely not be the truth, and use any excuse to explain their incompetence.

My wife's bmw had a door replaced by them and they damaged the soft close and denied responsibility. This cuase the door not to be able to close and left her stranded in Florida we live in huntsville alabama. I don't recommend them at all bad customer service.

Very professional. We went to the collision shop on Bob Wallace Avenue, Tiara Oliver did our estimate. She was very nice, knowledgeable, and paid excellent attention to detail. The estimate was reasonable, and in line with other estimates. We got from some other places. We are chosen Joe Hudson because they have us a date for repairs quickly, the professional attitude is 5 star and the repair will be done in a timely fashion. Plus they have been in business for over 25 years. They have been recommended by other family and friends and now I can too.

I can’t begin to describe how amazing this place is. Not only is their customer service top notch, the work that they did on my Toyota Corolla is beyond outstanding. Honestly, I feel like it looks better than when we first purchased it. I wish I would have taken pictures of the before and after before writing this review so you all could see the results. My estimate was spot on. They communicated with me along the way. They even completed the job earlier than expected. I went to the one off of Bob Wallace in Huntsville. Again, can’t express how grateful I am for all the work they did! Thank you Joe Hudson Collision Center!!Services: General repairs & maintenance

Joe Hudson's did great work on our vehicle and the staff was great. I do wish that they would have been more proactive with their communication while they had our vehicle. I had to call them multiple times to get updates. Overall, however, I would recommend!

We had our vehicle towed to Joe Hudson’s after a parking lot accident that caused what looked like minor damage to the front right bumper area. We were told by the service manager very soon after it was towed that it would most likely be totaled by our insurance agent. We had it towed to another auto body shop for a second opinion and were told just the opposite today. Our insurance agent said that Joe Hudson’s suggests vehicles be totaled VERY frequently. He said they don’t want to take the time to repair vehicles unless it takes less than two weeks. We suggest for small jobs Joe Hudson’s might be a good choice; but if you’ve had an accident that involves whether or not your vehicle gets totaled, you need to choose another shop that might keep you from having to replace your vehicle.Service: Body & Trim

I did not recognize my Cruze after they finished with it, regrettably deleted the before photo, a serious mess. Overwhelmingly pleased, drives better than when it was new. 5 stars not nearly enough. Peace and thanks.
